I became a music engineer and producer. She graduated from Northwestern, now owning a restaurant that's also a spa called Beauty and the Brunch. We met at a concert at The Metro (or was it The Vic? Or the Cobra Lounge? So many shows...) during my last job as an A&R guy for an indie label. We reconnected in Wicker Park, she was walking her British Bulldog boy named Chewy, me a Boston Terrier girlie named Salisbury. They hit it off and so did we. Another version of us, we were in it.

I LITERALLY moved from the Chicagoland area where I spent the first 23 (MJ lol) years of my life to start a new life in NJ 18 years ago. This song PERFECTLY encapsulates the full range of emotions I experience every time I go back to Chicago/IL. Literally another version of me. I was once in it. And when I leave, again I wave a bittersweet goodbye to the end of MY own beginning. And it's SO true. You can take the man out the city, but you cannot not take THAT city out of THIS man. โค Chicago, the greatest city in Earth!
