I’m a Disney world cast member, been to the parks many times. But never to the OG Disneyland. I know the size difference is significant but it’s almost like visiting another magic kingdom as opposed to the actual one

Great video! But those crowds are horrible! I've been to Disneyland on such days, the lines are so long that you end up getting on 4-5 rides the whole day, if you're lucky.

I've been watching in bits over the past few days, glad you got to go back to DL. I haven't been since 2000! To me it looks noticeably dense compared to MK, no doubt because of the size but I wonder what the attendance is like in comparison. Thanks for the video as always.

So neat! So many changes and so much the same since my last visit to DLR!! (almost 21 years ago!! Only other visit to DL before that was almost 32 years ago!!!). Something about being in the park that Walt built…and walked in. It has a different feel. Ah, nice…catching the Dapper Dans as you also catch the lamp up in Walt’s apartment. Feels like there are so many more trees in DL than in MK…maybe just on the hub. Oh m’gosh…Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride!! (that’s right…they still have it!! And that is where I first rode it! …had no idea of where you end up when you take a ride with Mr. Toad!!). It’s a Small World!!! Love that Mary Blair facade and that Sherman Brothers song!!! Very Friendly Cast Member Alert at 1:08:24 (exuberant waving!).

Where it all began! I was there once a long time ago after being at WDW many times, and the size and surrounding differences jump right out at you. I mean when you’re at the top of Main Street U.S.A., and you look up, you’re saying to yourself; ‘Honey, I shrunk the Castle.’ So much in such a relatively small space. No wonder Walt went super-size when it came to Florida. I do like seeing the subtle differences in some of the rides there comparatively. Hope you had a great time (even without a PeopleMover). 🍿🍿🍿

Great walkthrough 4K!!! I never went to Disneyland. Two years ago I was in Anaheim and intended to go. I made it to the front gate, saw the 1 day admission price, and decided not to. I drove to the airport and got an earlier flight.
It was just a different feeling standing there at the gate with the fencing, the hotels along the street, the traffic, the monorail layout and people walking the sidewalk along the street to go into Disneyland. I grew up going to DisneyWorld since it opened and with all the space and away from the city, I'm sure that's the reason Disneyland seemed so strange to me. I guess I should have gone in when I had the chance.

PS...I wish Disneyland would have gotten DisneyWorld's "It's a small world" and Florida got Anaheim's IASW...LOL

DL Sat! Luv the start w/the BGM outside the park. Nice & long - great for the treadmill. Did your heart skip a beat when you saw the tree/mtn for the first time? Those crowds, now I know why u said it was a crazy wkend. Toontown confirms that but what a detailed capture. For someone who doesn't get to DL every month, you filmed this as beautifully & as detailed as you do WDW. TFS🤩💜
