Dinosaur "Myths" That Are True

Video Overview & Insights

Prepare to have your mind blown by the absurdities that were the dinosaurs.

"And yet, a chicken is more related to a T-rex than a T-rex is to a Giganotosaurus"

My brain:
So would a T-rex taste like chicken?

Fools, the real reason no dinosaur evolved to be fully aquatic is because they took one look at the Western Interiour Seeway and rightfully thought to themselves "nah, I'm good on land", then found a wormhole that allowed them to travel back a couple dozen million years (it's not yearly an exact science, especially if you're a dinosaur, give the poor lizards a break) to spread the word to their ancestors.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US?

When I was young (& I'm over 70 now) we were taught that dinosaurs like diplodocus & brontosaurus were most likely semi aquatic like hippos. I think one species of the sauropods actually had their nostrals near the top of their heads!
This would help explain how they could grow so large & support their body weight with hollow bones rather like hippos do now.

Why do people think dinosaurs are fake? Imagine living in a lame ass world where dinosaurs never existed.

Am I crazy or did he completely ignore preservation bias?? 12:46
Not saying the original statement about the average dinosaur being dog sized but like, hes talking like he has his own Time Machine he used to fact check this

Dinos being confused about flowers is such a funny concept to me for some reason 😂

@CrispyLooper

We keep birds in our homes, feeding them for free, we clean their poop, and tolerate them screaming at us. Birds DEFINITELY still rule the land.

The thing that really got me to understand the sheer size of dinosaurs was learning that a triceratops was the size of a modern elephant. Because like, i can visualise a triceratops next to a T rex, or next to a sauropod, and be like "yeah these dinosaurs are big", but then to remember triceratops was already massive just blows my mind

@davidgold3nrose
@

Can you imagine what it would have sounded like to have a herd of say brontosaurus walking and I know they're not the biggest but they were quite large could you imagine what it would have sounded like or felt like long before they were even close to you

@Ripsaw17
@

Yeah I agree with you I don't think we're going to last anything close to what the dinosaurs did

@Ripsaw17
@

If you think about it dinosaurs are still around to this day they're flying around in your backyard so they kind of do know what grass and flowers are

Dinosaurs still rule the earth, at least by number of individuals and species and at least the land part of it. 😅

We just don't call them dinosaurs anymore

From now on, I'm referring to dinosaurs as prehistoric goobers.

There are 220-250 million years in a galactic year for earth. Meaning during the Triassic the earth was in the same general region relative to the center of the galaxy as it is today.

@daniel.C.morris

If the time from now to the first dinosaurs were shrunk down to a year humans would only make up 15 hours of the year and if you shrunk down the entire time earth has been around, we would only have been around for 35 minutes. If it was the universe we’d only be around for 11 min. (By current scientific estimates)

Less than 1% of species Fossilized... think of all the dinosaurrs we will never know about...
