I’m a fifth med student in Vietnam, preparing for usmle, when I read gray anatomy, I found that there are 4 nuclear group in thalamus: Anterior, Lateral, Medial and INTRALAMINA. I dont know the role of intralamina nuclear group. Can you explain it to me? Thank you so much

Topography of the Diencephalon:

- Lies above the Mesencephalon

Can't be amazing than this lecture❤

— @DtStudent-z3p

- Lies around the 3rd ventricle

Parts of the Diencephalon:

Which app do you use to visualize anatomical structures, and which app do you use to present those structures? I’d like to know how you create such high-quality anatomy videos, because I’d also like to prepare similar ones for my students. ;)

— @filipksci

- Thalamus

- Epithalamus

8:34 but doesn't smell not stop at thalamus and goes straight to cerebral cortex?

— @venuztrap

- Medial Nuclei (Medial Dorsal Nucleus)

○ Relate Sensory, motor, and olfactory with emotions

Hi this is an amazing video, and you mentioned everything quite beautifully with lovely animations and illustrations. Just wanted to point out that the part where you talk about the structures of Diencephalon is inspired by Dr Najeeb, as he describes it inside his videos the same way. Just wanted to give credit where it is due. Otherwise, marvelous video, love your channel.

hated studying diencephalon for whole 2nd year as i always felt stuck studying it from book .
this was the best! worth every second.
finally someone who doesnt jus read booklines💖💖💖

— @DayanaMeléndez-b1b

- Lateral Geniculate Body

○ Visual Pathway:

But everything is a cascade of mechanics like a Rube Goldberg device so there's absolutely nothing mystical about the output that is expressed externally from a body that ultimately is the computational result of the formulation that was "mixed" in the "lab" of any given human being 🤓☝🏼💁🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

- Thalamus Opticus

From the picture at 18:22 we observe there are two thalamuses on each hemisphere, two putamens, and so on. Do all these structures communicate with each other through the corpus callosum or use a different route?
