Yeah, the thing is, when you're in the car, you're not actually on pit wall with a nanosecond-updated view of where every single car is on the track on a computer like a pit lane engineer. In fact, the drivers often don't even know what lap they're on, let alone the GPS location of a car half a lap away!! I get the "they can get the information from the pit road" argument, but I think a track map goes too far to the arcade side. Instead of all this stuff, how about updating the spotter? When was the last time that was done??? All the voice-packs apart from the default one still seem half-finished. In real life, the spotter gives the driver that track map information on the radio. Or at least, what can be given in real life (and it's not every GPS position of every car in a nanosecond).

As always, iRacing isnât really selling us anything. As alwaysâand this has been the case for over 10 yearsâthereâs no safety car in Endurance. No Code 60 on the Nordschleife. No animated flags. No animated pit crew. No FCY. No incident reduction. Basically, itâs always the same. A new track, a new car. Especially that 100,000 NASCAR car. The rain feature they spent forever developing doesnât even happen anymore. Itâs always just dry races. You can just tell that iRacing doesnât watch real motorsports. They just throw a little something to the community and thatâs it. Itâs a shame that they havenât incorporated any of the things that have been standard in real motorsports for decades into the sim. To me, thatâs arcade. But of course, it wants to be a simulationâthatâs clear.

@HashSlingnSlashrI wish you could customize the colour for your specific dot on the track map. At the moment it's hard to identify at a quick glance which car is you on the map. I use this map a lot for IMSA multiclass to get an idea of traffic, so it's pretty useful info for me.

8:52 Seperate Green Flag Starts for car classes is needed for multiclass. Stops buildups and Mid classes running to early on starts. Awesome to see.
@Klooney9mmJust as important as a graphics overhaul is an audio overhaul. If we could get beyond Mario Bros quality audio, I may actually come back.

Well good luck finding one for less than 6 grand. I truly hope spark doesnt follow the rest of the industry and rely on fake frames and upscaling to get FPS, but i have a feeling...
