This will be Deep Purple's second album with Simon McBride (46) on guitar. McBride is a much better fit musically for Deep Purple than Steve Morse was. And their first album with him "=1" (2024) is outright incredible - just as good as any of their albums in the 60s and 70s, and with the same vibe. So unless either Gillan, Paice, or Glover is facing a lot more physical challenges than in 2024, this album should be really good stuff!
@32brookseI think it’s remarkable that these Guys are still actively Recording! They manage to still come up with very interesting music that Doesn’t conflict with their Legacy. This sounds like perhaps like Something close to “Rapture Of The Deep” with its Epic Theme’s. But I think Morse gave them new life at that time. This is the one band I would love to see live, I am intrigued with the Idea of a concept album. 🤘🔥🤘
