Video Overview & Insights

— @ph43draaa

Sky's Ed Conway and the FT's chief data reporter, John Burn-Murdoch, reveal that fertility rates are plummeting across rich and poor countries alike.

Unaffordable housing, smartphone addiction and social isolation are all playing a role. Even countries like South Korea and France are seeing steep declines.

People are chronically looking at screens, need to bin them off. Drove across town in the UK on sunday, no one was outside, everyone is sat a home looking at screens.

Surely there is more influence from income instability; wars and rumours of wars. Young people now have the choice and more information to help make a choice and birth control to make it safe. Slava Ukraine
