Costco is different in the UK...(NOT what I expected!) 🇬🇧
Video Overview & Insights
We didn't expect an American warehouse store like Costco exists in the UK.
We went to Costco in London, England to see what they sell. We were curious about the prices of staple items, and maybe any uniquely British things we could find. This way, we can learn more about the cost of living in London, including the cost of groceries and electronics and clothing, as well as explore more of their local food. It's a good way to see if UK is expensive or cheap.
Enjoy the video!
Having been to Costco in Halifax Nova Scotia and Costco Watford,England, i can say there's not alot of difference.Don't know why you didn't get sampling as that's standard.Thank you.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:00 - Expensive iPhone
HALLOWEEN ORIGINATED FROM BRITAIN, AMERICA JUST OVER DRAMITAISED IT
00:39 - Good lookin' snacks!
2:17 - Canada & Indonesia connection
Halloween started in these islands. We really haven't celebrated it in the same way as the North Americans do. For years it was seen as pagan. Which to me has always seemed weird the juxtaposition between North American relationship with Christianity and CELEBRATING Ghosts witches vampires and demons etc.

That jacket potato was put together wrong, it should be butter, pepper, a little salt then a strong mature cheddar cheese with hot beans over the top. Done like that it's delicious. A little bit of cheese over the beans meh.

I would never buy a tomahawk steak - your paying good money for a piece of bone that you can't eat
@lilykhandker6716I am going to apologise on behalf of my fellow Brits for that poor excuse for a jacket potato, it was a total abomination! The variety of potato was wrong and they couldn't even be bothered to melt the cheese :S
You need a Russet for a proper jacket potato, baked for at least 70 minutes so you get a soft and fluffy inside (it should literally melt in your mouth) but crispy/flaky on the outside, it needs to be buttered, then cheese (Mature Cheddar) then beans on top so the cheese melts. Throw a bit of salad on the side and your good to go.
Yes we celebrate Halloween and we also have bonfire night which is basically about guy fawks . Bonfires and fireworks
@RAH-w7d7qHAMBURGERS CAME FROM GERMANY. THAT MEANS MOST OF THE WORLD'S FOODS PROBABLY ORIGINATED IN EUROPE
@angelachanelhuang1651VAT is not added to children's sized clothes/shoes, fresh fruit & veg, cake, bread & bakery items, milk. Also uncooked meat, poultry & fish. Think tea & coffee are also exempt.
Its basically the essentials.
Never had salad cream before?! Also, I think baked potatoes are much better with a big of butter and mashed up inside of the potato with the beans and good quality cheddar, maybe a hint of salt if the butter is unsalted...tuna and mayo with sweetcorn is a good option but so is the beef and cheese :)
There are usually food samples, maybe none that day though :(
😂 Halloween was started in the UK. More specifically, Scotland
@rhyswilliams3114THE VICTORIA SANDWICH CAKE IS ALSO, VERY BRITISH.
@RS-ln3nsDO THEY CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN IN ENGLAND ? HAVE THEY HEARD OF MAPLE SYRUP IN CANADA ? OFF COURSE HALLOWEEN IS CELEBRATED IN ENGLAND. HALLOWEEN WAS INVENTED IN THE UK AND THEN IT WAS BROUGHT TO AMERICA BY BRITISH IMMIGRANTS, WHO TRAVELLED THERE.
@RS-ln3nsYou have to put the cheese on first so the beans melt it!
@joenya26I have to take my own vinegar when I go abroad nowhere does vinegar like uk for chips ! Unless you’re in Epcot fish and chip shop!
@joenya26Costco in Liverpool looks identical.
@keybensonThanks for adding actual captions for the Deaf
@jwillisbarrieNot sure how £2 is expensive for that massive slice of pizza
@listerdudeHalloween is originally a Irish festival btw
@anman1575Mahalnya barang di Britain 😮😮😮
@imanmanimanman7667The UK don't pay tax on childrens clothes or food but they are starting to bring in a sugar tax
@HandbagzAtDawnPeople don't do enough research about the Countries that they go to. You should look into the typical foods of the Country that you are going to as part of your research. All of those items that you had no idea about, are all common foods in the UK. It blows my mind that people spend thousands of dollars on trips and don't spend the time to learn even the most basic things about where they are going.
And if your wife wants the mushrooms, she should get the mushrooms, she is a grown adult.
When I heard do they celebrate Halloween I was like alright Thts enough 😂😂
@brandonc7566Kids' clothing is tax-free in the UK as the government acknowledges that kids constantly grow. Vat is free on cooking ingredients, too.
@JLO72Tax is already included in the price. It is not added on top like in Canada
