Conflict Live at Pod Parou 2025 - In Memory of Colin Jerwood | Full Concert Recording

hearts go out

— @ericpeterson7148

This is the complete live recording of the legendary British anarcho-punk band Conflict performing at the 22nd edition of Fest Pod Parou on July 18th, 2025, at the Korunní pevnůstka in Olomouc, Czech Republic. This performance holds special significance as it was one of the final shows featuring Colin Jerwood, Conflict's iconic frontman and founding member, who tragically passed away just two weeks later on June 2nd, 2025, after a short illness.

About Conflict:

In memorial

— @jonnnodunkerton843

Formed in 1981 in Eltham, South London, Conflict stands alongside Crass as one of the most influential anarcho-punk bands in history. Founded by Colin Jerwood and originally including Francisco 'Paco' Carreno on drums, the band became synonymous with uncompromising political activism, animal rights advocacy, and anti-establishment rebellion. Their debut EP "The House That Man Built" was released on Crass Records in 1982, marking the beginning of a legendary career spanning over four decades.

The band established their own Mortarhate Records label in 1983, which became a cornerstone of the UK anarcho-punk scene, releasing music by bands like Hagar the Womb, Icons of Filth, and Lost Cherrees. Conflict's music was characterized by brutal, no-frills punk rock with fierce political lyrics addressing anarchism, animal rights, anti-war movements, and support for Class War.

ffs go further with Conflict! Please!

— @volkerkusters4779

Notable achievements include their song "Mighty and Superior" being voted #53 in John Peel's Festive Fifty in 1985, and the infamous "Gathering of the 5000" concert at Brixton Academy in 1987, which ended in a police-provoked riot resulting in 52 arrests. The band released their first new studio album in over two decades, "This Much Remains", in May 2025, featuring collaborations with the late poet Benjamin Zephaniah.

About Fest Pod Parou:

what the fuck

— @zeekzimmerman8755

Fest Pod Parou has been a cornerstone of the European punk rock, hardcore, and ska scene since 2003. The festival's name originates from the narrow-gauge industrial railway in Mladějov na Moravě, where steam locomotives once operated during chamotte mining. After beginning in Moravská Třebová, the festival moved through various Czech locations before settling in Olomouc's Korunní pevnůstka for its 22nd edition.

The 2025 festival brought together 39 bands from 11 countries over three explosive days (July 17-19), featuring legendary acts alongside fresh faces from the alternative music scene. The festival is considered the largest punk, hardcore, and ska festival in the Czech Republic and Central Europe, maintaining its underground spirit while showcasing both established legends and emerging talent.

We would like to hear a patriot song against new islamic fascism in england....(message de France), (i dont think this girl could walk safe in white chapel nowadays ...could she ?) J'ai été un "punk" toute ma vie, mais nous avons laissé entrer un ennemi bien plus sectaire et fasciste aujourd'hui...

— @sebastienely4779

This recording captures Conflict in their raw, unfiltered power, performing classics from their extensive catalog including tracks from their groundbreaking albums like "It's Time to See Who's Who" (1983), "Increase the Pressure" (1984), and "The Ungovernable Force" (1986). The performance serves as both a celebration of their enduring legacy and a poignant farewell to Colin Jerwood, whose passionate vocals and unwavering commitment to social justice inspired generations of punk fans and activists worldwide.

I'm hoping these guys are doing this with the full blessing of the surviving/original members of Conflict (RIP Kev Webb,Paco and Colin) but Big John and Steve also started this band, wrote the music, started using the logo and established this band....including the hard work and input Paul Hoddy had for this band over the years...just saying...
