COMPLETE Walking Tour of Cadiz (Must-Visit Sites)
Video Overview & Insights
Let's explore our favourite city in Spain - Cadiz! Venga, let’s go!
Really and truly, I find your videos both very informative and entertaining. Thank you.
NOT A BIGGIE: However from what I understand, Columbus' SECOND and Fourth voyage to The Americas, originated from Cádiz --NOT the Third and Fourth.
⏩ CHAPTERS
00:00 Intro
I’m a big fan of your work. Something which grated in this one is your Spanish pronunciation of certain places like Cadiz, whereas Sevilla you pronounce as the English Seville. I prefer the Anglicised versions, as Cadiz with a Z! Otherwise it comes across as affected.
01:03 El Pópulo
02:22 Roman Theatre
Such a lovely video and gave me lots of info I didnt know! Thank you for making it! 🤩
03:28 Cadiz Cathedral
06:12 Plaza San Juan de Dios
Going next week, looking forward to it
06:48 San Juan de Dios Church
07:34 The Streets of Cadiz
Hola soy gaditano. Tengo que decir que sois una pareja muy agradable y culta. Gracias por mostrar y tener tanto cariño a mí ciudad
08:36 Torre Tavira
09:33 Yacimiento Arqueológico Gadir
I live in Cadiz and it is a living Fairytale. .
10:14 Alameda Apodaca
12:21 Parque Genovés
The Jehovah's witness religion started in Pittsburgh in 1870. So your information on that is wrong.
13:33 Santa Catalina Castle
14:29 La Caleta beach
You guys should go for the six months! I think yoli would like the sea and if you love it there too, even better. ❤️
15:28 La Viña neighbourhood
Thank you to the Consejería de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico de la Junta de Andalucía for granting us access to the Roman Theatre.
Very good video! You have an excellent knowledge of world history and very expressive. You would make a very good history teacher.

Cadiz was the 1st holiday place i visited in my 1st year living in Madrid back in Jan 2007! i even remember lying on the beach in Puerta santa maria on 5th Jan!! Yes cadiz was really nice, to the point of being very friendly. i was alone for a few days. Anyway i found myself in a tapas bar in Cadiz ordered a drink, next minute i found myself talking to a large group of very socialable spaniards!!! from 4 or 5 different spanish places. Something similar happened to me in Seville´s old town. great memories!!

This was a great video on Cádiz. I haven't been yet. I live in Portugal. So, it's not far to go for me. Im definitely going now. Have you done an updated video on Cádiz, by any chance. Im kind of looking for a place in Southern Spain. Was looking at Marbella, but i think it really isn't for me. Marbella looks like it ia becoming similar to Cascais, Portugal. 😢
@sbaz2pt1115Didn’t really think it is any good , dog poo on the pavements, weeds as high as your knees , buildings half fallen down . Won’t be going again
@garygarygary3324Lived 10 years in awesome Madrid. But Cadis es fuera de serie!
@charleslund6723As a native from Cádiz, I would like to encourage visitors from other countries to support our local gastronomy and shops. Not only will you get the full experience, but will be also contributing to preserve our rich culture
@ThePackIsOneBetter than Tarifa?
@marksadventures1606Visited Cadiz in mid April , saw the beautiful interior of it's Cathedral. Seven Euros entrance fee was worth the visit. The food was delicious at a local restaurant. Love to watch your videos.
@6861CharleyLooks cool. I am eager to visit.
@spiebEpic Cádiz
@franciscocamposfajardo2418Love Spain, love this channel.
@patrickworrall5582nice video thx
@sharonterry1222Cadiz is one of my most favourite places on the planet. There is something magical about the place and food is amazing. Wonderful video and great history lesson.
@Bradds68Thanks for a great video and a reminder that you have to look up to truly appreciate a place. I'm not a great fan of cities, especially tourist hot spots, but found Cadiz not only beautiful and interesting but relaxed, unpretentious and welcoming, with a very homely feeling. The fish market is worth a visit to see the incredible variety on display. If you want to live in a Spanish city I doubt you could do better than Cadiz.
@morrisminors9750Hi. Your video inspired us to leave Madrid next week to spend a couple of weeks in Cadiz. Can't wait to try your recommendations.
@fosterfoster1218Thank you so much for this video and others! I’m on the bus headed to Cádiz now and am feeling so excited to see it myself!
@lizzyvaughn8589Been there, seen that. Love it.
@chacmool2581Beautiful Cathedral and history. Spain has so much amazing Catholic history and traditions.
@lijojakeWhat an interesting city. Will have to visit! Love the history :)
@CharlotteGonzalez-c6fJames' Columbus doesn't discover the Americas! You should know!
@sephmanatac8569When I was a student there in 1970, we stayed at a school I think called "Colegio Mayor", with a Padre Bilbao who was in charge. The address they gave us to say if we got lost was "Lopez Pinto Ochentaydos". I've tried to find it on Google Maps, but no luck. It was very close to the beach. Also, I remember going to a restaurant/bar called the Lighthouse where Christopher Columbus used to hang out. We sat in a booth that extended out into a small balcony and we drank pitchers of sangria. The waiters told us not to move around because the balcony was very old and we might cause it to break off, ending in our deaths. A great way to deal with American teenagers, some drinking for our possibly first times!
@kevinmclaughlin2706Ne le gustan las catedrales, no le gustan las playas...pero que hace en España este anglosajon ??
@sejaqucdabiran7104You sound like a TV reporter; where’s your humanity gone? 😂
