I live in the San Francisco Bay Area; I'm quite certain that it would cost way less to live in Las Vegas. I like where I live.... EXCEPT for the property taxes & the state income taxes.

Kaori LA property tax in Brentwood is closer to 1% + another .25% in misc stuff so it is more like 1.25% property tax. Where did you get the .75% property tax for LA? Question does LV have other add ons to their .72% property tax you mention in this video?

Grocery prices were conservative. Just left grocery store in SoCal and they were higher than the stated prices.

Uh, new construction does not necessarily mean better homes. I would take a well built 100 year old home in LA or SF over a new Vegas home. The woods in the old homes are much better.

Just because a home is old does not automatically mean there will be maintenance issues. It depends on how well it's been maintained. I would rather live in a well-maintained home from the 1940s than any home in Las Vegas.

The BIG difference is in 1940’s homes were built much better. Nevada is building home as fast that they’re almost disposable
