Andre Iguodala's MVP Magic โจ - Often overlooked due to the star power around him, Andre Iguodala's performance in the 2015 NBA Finals was nothing short of spectacular. His role as a defender and scorer earned him the Finals MVP, changing the course of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. ๐๐
Kenny "The Jet" Smith's Record Night ๐ - In the 1995 NBA Finals, Kenny Smith lit up the court with an incredible 7 threes, setting a then-record and igniting the Houston Rocketsโ charge to their second consecutive NBA title. ๐๐
Awesome video, Roti!
Horry is one of the best in the clutch and he is amazing. I was rooting for the Kings in that series against the Lakers. I was so angry at Divac for throwing the ball out (though, in hindsight, it was understandable since he didn't want Shaq to get another shot at it). But, the shot that Horry made is one of the greatest clutch shots ever. Had he missed it, the Lakers would've went down 1-3 and Sacramento would've likely gone to the finals.
Great points regarding Iguodala also. I second you. His defense was critical.
Solid points about Smith and the ORL-HOU series. When I learned about this series (I was a kid at the time so I don't remember it), I was surprised at how Anderson missed so many shots. I agree Kenny was clutch and hit critical shots also. It's amazing how he made 7 threes also.
I agree - role players are often discounted or not remembered. Your video does a great job in discussing clutch and invaluable role players. Take care :)
