I, too, got the update, but my desktop app looks nothing like what you're showing. There is NO CHAT; it's only ChatGPT WORK or codex; everything else is gone. No prior projects, no prior chats, no prior saved GPTs. I Im guessing they want me (Us) to think about everything as if it's an agent with "tasks" for the system to run. Its Super Frustrating. What you're showing in this video is the web browser. Time to submit a bug report.

In addition, Atlas is going away, but nobody’s talking ab how it’s getting replaced w/ ChatGPT extensions for every main browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, etc…), capable of prompt-based autonomous browsing.

Since my ChatGPT application requires me to redownload it on my Mac today, I cannot use it properly like I used to. I can only use either ChatGPT Work or Codex, but not the normal ChatGPT I used to use. Hey Rob, from my understanding, the way the Pet works in Codex is that while a project is being worked on, it will be on the side of your screen. So you can be working on other things and doing other things and be updated as to what's completed, what needs you to jump back in and respond to, and things of that nature. It is basically kind of like a little live task manager to keep you updated on what all is going on.

I would love to make a Red Dragon RPG website, but based on Fallout New Vegas but under a different name. Like a post apocalyptic RPG game website that's text only. This is REALLY REALLY cool.

GPT 5.6 is such a specific version number — nothing says "trust us, it's better" like a decimal point that means absolutely nothing to anyone outside a changelog.

Great video.., I got ChatGPT Pro last month on iPhone… within this app I also got Gemini with several other models… the issue is I cannot access it on my Mac… yes even with same login email etc…

So I guess I will have to get another app on my Mac

I tried out Chat GPT 5.6 plus using the thinking and tried to run a comprehensive business report like I normally do with 5.5, but Chat GPT 5.6 changed everything in a strange and I ended up having lots of bugs and distortions! 😥
After trying to run the print to MsWord about 10 times, I ended going back to Chat GPT 5.5 and started from scratch to get what i wanted...!!
This is what normally happens when a new major upgrade happens but it seems to settle down in a few weeks...so lets see...😄

I'm a fan and a follower. I have a question. I haven't got either one yet. I was getting ready to invest in Claude for Fable 5 until I saw this. I'm wondering: could I use the new ChatGPT 5.6 to clone a Claude skill? For example, could I use it to control Higgssfield in the same way that Claude does, or even better? Thank you very much. The Scroll always sticks making you wait for the text, mind you these are completed chats.Sam Altman before new features fix the scroll that has been sticking for years. Maybe the new selected text feature should have on off. Run the red alert.
