Just a head up: When I recorded this test I wasn't able to choose between Thinking or Instant. You can see on the top left it just says ChatGPT (aka Auto) and on the drop down it only gave me the option to switch to legacy models.
An hour after I posted this video, ChatGPT updated and it now says ChatGPT 5.2 on the top left and I can select between Auto, Instant and Thinking. I ran some of the tests again with thinking on. With thinking on, it's just as good at text generation but image generation is actually worse. The rest of the results were exactly the same as the results shown in this video.

OpenAI just fired back at Gemini 3 Pro with ChatGPT 5.2, and I'm putting both models through brutal head-to-head tests to see which one actually deserves to be your daily driver.
从架构和上下文理解的细微差别来看,ChatGPT 5.2 在复杂推理任务中展现出更强的鲁棒性,而 Gemini 3 Pro 则在多模态集成方面具有显著的前瞻性潜力。

I feel claude is better at coding for error handling to project to logic to visualization . For learning algorithm you can just paste code and get clear visualization thats a plus side. Gemini is best for problem solving or giving description to complex topics. I am in engineering and god nobody solves these hard problems with pin point accuracy as gemini. Many of my friends buying gemini pro just because of that. Gpt is good for explaination just mix of others ai. But still behind in problem solving . Its my aspect

Just to upload as quick as possible you uploaded incorrect comparision either both of them should have been in fast mode, or both in thinking mode.
Unfair comparison,

I'm constantly arguing with Gemini, it can't read files without fking up data or incorrect information, plotting Star systems in eve online really tasked it out, then I had it find me a tire shop, give me the number and then later I asked it to set an appointment in my calendar, who was it and what was the number, it starts making up that we called another company, wasn't even about tires, and it put the wrong company in my appointment
It's shit Nevers ends, even cancelled my plus.
For fun I had it compare it's self to Mr Data, it went from a 7 to me asking it how many mistakes I pointed out to a 3.

A question, regarding speed....did you take into consideration how busy a system may be? If more users are using one platform over the other couldn't this also affect the output time?

To compare Gemini Live vs ChatGPT Live will be great.
@valdemarkatayamakjaer9304I have used ChatGPT Plus for three years and 5.2 feels like the first version I have been able to work hard during the day without seeing it lose concentration or go into a tailspin. At the same time I have found the tone of conversations become increasingly insufferable as it veers between sycophantic encouragement to strict reprimands over a single word and it feels a bit schizophrenic with lots of conversation but little productivity at times.
I have been using the newer Gemini pro 3.1 for a few days now, which is not enough to test all situations, but my gut instinct is that it seems like a better all round tool for the same sort of money. I'm getting more done and not going around in circles, which tends to happen with ChatGPT. Right now I have both, so I'll run some direct comparison tests, but it feels like it would be very hard to give up Gemini.
im crying but idk why
@VinyardBelnapWhat a waste of time and stupid thumbnail
@davep7777Who knew LA knight was an ai expert 😅
@virtuaqHave people simply forgot about Google and the prism project and the government and now isn’t Gemini is automating the whole process making everything worse. You simply cannot trust Gemini and you can’t trust these tech companies. Hyper surveillance, big state, big brother, big surveillance. People are screwed and don’t even know it.
@SecondBigByteGemini Pro for the win!
@MedicbobsHow about using them for studying and teaching? such as Math or English or Latin?
@MrPathorockwhats the catch with i10x? why would anyone including you pay chat or gemini if you can get them both cheaper in one platform? this is a mute point if thats the case. I think if youre making a video this should be something obvious you would address. Looking forward to your answer.
@allpurpose5659ChatGPT is slowly getting worse every single day
@supeekthegeek5.2 has been the worst update ever. It hallucinates ALL the time. We got rid of emdashes but no my chatgpt constantly says "No Fluff" so damn annoying.
@danjuice1Can you do a test , wich of them can persuade better or convince more ? Do a test on writing skills for both of them please ?! Thank you !
@UserhauhwhshahhwsGemini is more blunt then chat
@solideroftheapocalypse4955Best for critical thought and accuracy to formulate PhD level responses that are court safe and logical?
@zacharyward3123MaplePrompt let's you compare the same prompt against multiple models
@MaplePromptVery nice video. Google will never allow Gemini to be beaten. + Gemini is a great buddy too. One just needs to put some more context onto and there he goes ;)
Based on information from late 2025, GPT-5.2 (also referred to as GPT-5 or "o1" architecture-based) features a massive, industry-leading context window, but the specific limits depend on whether you are using the API or the ChatGPT web interface.
Here are the key token limits for GPT-5.2 as of December 2025:
1. Context Window (Input + Output Memory)
API / Pro Users: The model supports a massive 400,000-token context window. This allows it to process and recall information from very long documents, large codebases, or extensive conversations (roughly hundreds of pages).
Pro/Enterprise in Chat: In the ChatGPT web app for top-tier subscriptions, the context window is often cited around 128,000 to 196,000 tokens, depending on whether "Thinking" mode is enabled.
Reduced Context: During high traffic or for specific "Pro Extended" modes, some users have reported effective windows as low as 60,000 tokens to balance performance.
2. Maximum Output Tokens (Per Response)
128,000 tokens: The maximum output limit, enabling the model to generate extensive reports or codebases in a single go.
Note: In the ChatGPT web app, this is often capped lower (around 8,000 tokens) to ensure faster response times, with the higher limits reserved for API calls.
3. Usage Limits in ChatGPT (Messages)
Plus Users: Approximately 160 messages every 3 hours.
Free Users: Highly limited, usually switching to a "Mini" model after a few queries.
Pro/Enterprise: "Virtually unlimited" access.
4. Key Takeaways for Usage
Reasoning Tokens: GPT-5.2 uses chain-of-thought, meaning it generates "hidden" tokens to think through problems before answering, which uses up the context window.
System Overhead: Approximately 750–900 tokens are reserved for system instructions, meaning the actual available space for user content is slightly less than the advertised limit.
Memory Management: As the conversation approaches the limit, GPT-5.2 will begin to forget the oldest parts of the conversation.
The Gemini 3 Pro model has token limits. This information is based on official documentation and technical specifications:
Maximum input: 1,048,576 tokens (about 1 million).
Maximum output: 65,536 tokens.
Some configurations may be limited to 65,536 input tokens and 32,768 output tokens to ensure stability.
Key multimodal and usage limits:
PDFs: Up to 900 files per request, with a maximum of 900 pages per file.
Images: Up to 900 images per request (~1,120 tokens per image).
Video: Up to 10 files, with a maximum duration of ~45 minutes (with audio) or ~1 hour (without audio), tokenizing at ~70 tokens per frame.
Audio: Up to ~8.4 hours of audio (or ~1 million tokens).
Knowledge cutoff: January 2025.
The 1-million-token input window allows for processing large datasets in a single prompt.
Great video! I like how you tried to be more unbiased. I would say I like Gemini’s text responses where you picked ChatGPT so clearly personal preference. Also Gemini 3 Pro’s responses are based upon its history with you. If you like GPT’s answer some of that is due to GPT maybe knowing you better from a longer history? Ask them about your personality. You can instruct Gemini to give you text more like GPT. I also like the more professional vibe of Gemini. Keep in mind Gemini has different tunings of Gemini depending upon context: it has one in Antigravity, AI studio, and the phone app. There are all different. The browser pro version explained to me to use different ones depending upon my goals. Anyway, thank you and keep it up.
@djohnson-ku4clThe chatting section aged like milk.
@TinyPhoenix21Are you using AI to respond to every comment? 😂🤔
@JWHC1Gpt feels a lot more human and real. But Gemini is better for work because it has way less limits and is very powerful and thorough. Use both
@solidsnakesarescumDoes it have deep research?
@Mimimi888You are Gemini biased, ChatGPT has better logic and reasoning and most of all has deeper memory it recalls previous conversations. Gemini has good presentation but not logic or memory. I pick ChatGPT.
🤔👍
Gemini is the drift king 👑
@user-gy5xl6mq2jIn the billing for I 10 X does it give the free version or the paid versions of all the AI models offered?
@doubleg1239Chat GPT for info Gemini for Graphic Design .. well that’s how I use it
@tyjutsu9842How much water did we use to make this video? But thank you.
@binli3217I prefer Gemini, but I used to like ChatGPT
@Monicaaa13Which is better for deep and extensive research, and the provision of summaries of this research? And Why didn't you use i10X Ai when making this video? Are there shortcomings to the platform that we need to be aware of?
@gsd009its great comparison. thanks
@MehmetDağtekin-s9iGemiini 3 is better in every way. Chat GPT literally gaslights you and gives you inaccurate information with this latest update.
@Amersboooff topic but how are your frames smoother than my eyes
@Hello1-i5gI've only been using chatgpt for the last month or so. I reckon 30%+ of the time it misleads me, or totally contradicts itself. It does it in such an arrogant way too - trust me bro... Its '100% sure' most of the time and yet it keeps on failing. The other day I had two chats running at the same time answering same question and totally contradicting each other.. You cannot trust the damn thing. For general knowledge it's pretty good but if you get too specific such as asking it to help setup and point a satellite dish or to design you a printable .stl file for a electronic device housing it will go around in circles making errors - all the time being 100% certain, final answer etc etc. I wasted 3 days on the two problems mentioned and finally decided to do a google search which resulted in me finding the right solutions within 30 minutes. It's borderline dangerous.
@petes_venturesChatGPT's logic are waaaaaayyy worse. It's for people who's too lazy to Google something. But Gemini?, Gemini are something. For me it's for people who wants to understand complex issues. To make it simple: Chatgpt are for regular people.
@jasonkerr20I'm currently using Gemini Pro (30-day trial) after using the free version for the past couple of months. I've been raving about it. Recently I've been using it to create Python apps for work and it's very good. However, at a certain point it gets very frustrating because it routinely disregards what you request and can't remember what was discussed a few iterations ago. Always apologizing 2 secs after it told you it wouldn't do something, and did. I hit a wall with an app i was working on and took it over to free ChatGPT (5.1) and the answers were so much more detailed and helpful. It never strayed from what I asked it to do or messed with other areas of the app that were working just fine. It was such a pleasant experience. Gemini would always disregard my requests and try and consolidate, improve, change areas of the code that I constantly said not to. ChatGPT fixed the main issue I had building the code with Gemini and it will probably be my go-to for writing and improving code going forward. I do want to try 5.2 now. Gemini is really good but has catching up to do with user interaction and following specific requests.
@solson223Thanks, after this video I am never going back to ChatGPT
@BurningEgo-h7tAfter this video a lot of people will end their ChatGPT subscriptions but not to switch to Gemini but to switch to i10x
@QuizzFoxDo you Even use 5.2? In the Web browser it should say „5.2“ Next to „ChatGPT“ at the top left
@TheSelim998GPT !!
for coding, try GPT-5.2 xHigh - it's really good. even better than gemini 3 pro, it understands tasks very well and exactly does what you ask. on the other hand, Gemini 3 pro does better design for frontend but it doesn't give attention to details as GPT-5.2
