Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair. It is beneficial if you have limited mobility. This class is meant for seniors 65 + and this sequence is used in nursing homes and home hospice care - anyone can do it! Chair yoga incorporates not only full-body movement but also breath and basic meditation techniques. This class will assist you in building strength, functionality in your body, memory tests as well as deepen your connection with yourself.

@RudyHuizarI have been doing this practice for a couple of weeks...the first thing I noticed, and its a small thing, was that I could reach the bottom of my washing machine. It has a big capacity and the small stuff was always out of my reach, now I can grab it without even trying!

@mariannsandvallwebbHi. I'm 67, and have arthritis from neck to toes. Also have back problems, and have zero cartilage in both knees. I can't do most of what you're doing with legs. Very frustrating trying to do any kind of exercise.

I am severely disabled with several joint replacements. I was able to do 95 % of the class. I have less mobility on my left arm over my head and right quad. I loved the class. I wish you would take an extra 3 seconds on the side bends ( side windmill) do you advance in classes on the chair? If so how do I find it? Thank you and I look forward to getting back my mobility like I had 15vears ago.
Hi Kristie. I am 67 years old, trying to lose weight and have difficulty exercising due to knee weakness. Chair yogo seemed to be a low impact exercise I thought I would try. So here I am, first timer! I really enjoyed your session and will be back tomorrow. Thank you so much!
@joannechetuck9232Thank you for you practice. I broke my metacarpal bone in my left hand and tore two ligaments with bone fragments in my left foot. I am 61 yo and fell off a high curb at work. It has been 3 weeks and I am finally to the point I can do some chair yoga with a few modifications. I practiced yoga before my accident. My body feels so much better after taking your class!
@MaryEllenDanforthTwo years ago, my stepmom was experiencing much pain because of her limited mobility through her physical impairment. A doctor recommended a book to her a few weeks ago to guide her to exercise herself because exercises increase fitness and reduce pain. Sho got it from Amazon. The name of the book was Chair Yoga for Seniors and Disabled Adults by Aston Mark
And to my greatest surprise, ever since then she has not complained of stress, pain or whatsoever.
I am ever grateful to the doctor and also to the author of that book for making things easier and better for people like my mom. I think the book also had pictures and videos inside it.
I just decided not to hoard this testimony to myself alone, so that others who are passing through the same problem may help themselves through it. 🎉😊

@KokodaVillage3/28/2026 I almost kept up with you and seeing stars but was able to finish and not feel frustrated so I will continue this over and over till I dont hurt doing it and have to pull my body into position. @robinmorgan5790Hi. It has been eight months since I have done chair yoga with you. I took a bad fall and wound up with a shoulder replacement and three resulting surgeries, plus a serious infection.
