Fantastic player with immense talent, but sadly he is a pretender number 1, benefitting from Novak's absence, due to Bill Gates (Rafa's good friend) and the WEF stranglehold in the plandemic. All this disruption to Novak and he is still amazing. Nadal and Alcaraz would have crumbled under the same treatment. The injury issues to do with Rafa & Alcaraz is down to their own training, conditioning and pushing themselves too far and is totally different from a fit player who is ready to play, but is prevented from playing.

Novak missed out on 10000 points last year (Wimbledon & AO points alone would see him way ahead and Alcaraz wouldn't have got near the number 1 spot last year). Novak will miss out on a further 2000 points this year. Remember, no one has won more sunshine titles than him. Record holder at Indian Wells and Miami.

Novak's form has been affected greatly by the tyranny of the last 14 months and yet still got back to number 1 and broke Steffi's all time record for most weeks spent at number 1 in tennis singles. Also, winning 2 slams out of 3.

In regards to the US rules, what about the massive influx of Mexicans walking over the border into the US, great numbers of them unchecked and unvaccinated. The hypocrisy is incredible. Also, the rules of entry are changing in a few weeks. Very sinister. Petty revenge on Novak for standing up to the tyranny, which just strengthens his greatness (McEnroe, Wilander, Rusedski, etc have said the ridiculous prevention of him being able to play, strengthens his position as the GOAT).

You can tell Carlos is surrounded by so much genuine love and support. This moment will be forever a reminder of how impossible because possible with the right people around you, especially children. 🎉 So immensely proud of you Carlos!!!

Not trying to diminish his victory but this tournament and Australia both have asterisks next to them. Djokovic is the best player in the world and of all time and the only reason he won this and Nadal won Australia is because they wouldn't let him in the country.

Carlos far exceeded anyone's expectations. I mean "WOWZA"! This kid is unreal. And he is so personable too. Seems to be the best all-round player since Roger left. Carlos seems to do it all so well.

Congratulations! I don't want to diminish his first GS title, but the fact that he is in the number 1 position is a combination of lucky circumstances. First of all, because Djokovic did not participate in two GS tournaments, in several masters and the deduction of points at Wimbledon.

What an idiotic year for tennis, they take away 5000 points from a man... they forbid others to play, for making me their association, so let them be the first with themselves, kudos to Alcazar

Congratulations to Alcaraz for winning his first grand slam at the USO and doing it with a bang! Winning 3 consecutive 5 setters and then having enough to win the final in four sets speaks volumes to the greatness of Alcaraz. Ruud did well to take advantage of an Alcaraz dip to win the second set and make Carlos earn the third set. The 5-6 game in the third set proved to be huge, as Alcaraz ran away with the match after that. At the end of the day, a compromised Alcaraz was still enough to beat an improved Ruud in 4 sets. Carlos is like a hybrid of the big 3 and will surely be the future of the sport. Tennis indeed has a great future. Now to demonstrate the greatness of Alcaraz, I will compare grand slam results to the big 3 at a similar age:

AO FO Wimby USO
Alcaraz 3R QF 4R W
Djokovic ? QF 4R ?
Federer R32 R16 R128 R32
Nadal 4R W 2R 3R

As you can see, Carlos had the best slam results as a late teenager than all of the big 3. Alcaraz is also already a better hardcourt player than Rafa at the same age, as Nadal won his first hardcourt slam(AO 09) 3.5 years later and his first USO 5 years later. It's crazy to think that Alcaraz was a close Rafa and Zverev loss away from sweeping the sunshine double and winning the French Open. Now all we need to see to wet our appetites is a mouth watering clash between Djokovic and Alcaraz in a slam. I suspect that will happen next year.
