Its crazy that he can retire right now and still be considered one of the greatest sportsman to ever live at just 22 years old. The rest of ATP should be scared. He is free and intimidating now

So far, I haven't read anyone mentioning how clever he was at 6-5 in the fourth set. For me, that's a masterclass in chess-like play. On the first ball, he made Nole play 24 shots. He wore him down and took the game because Nole couldn't go on any longer. The incredible thing about this kid is that he's also super intelligent.

Djokovic at this age playing at such a high level. Just hats off

Novak just played a younger and more aggressive version of himself.
Carlos totally unbelievable

Djokovic has made it to an absurd 38 Grand Slam finals, with a record of 24-14, which is, frankly, a lot more finals losses than I was expecting. Just imagine, if Carlos Alcaraz had lost his foot as a little kid or something, we'd be talking about Djokovic still winning Grand Slams at his age, he'd be up to like 27 career Grand Slams now, and the story narrative would be about how the ageless Novak continues to be unbeatable into his late 30s.

Dos Fuera de Serie. MONSTRUOS de este deporte. Uno ya es Leyenda y el otro va camino a serlo. Cualquiera de los dos merecía ganar esta final y bueno, fue para Carlitos en definitiva. 🙌🎾🔝

Rafa being there is just awesome. Vamos Carlitossss!!!! Great playing by Novak as well, Alcaraz just unstoppable. That point around the net was simply ridiculous, even Djokovic was like "what more do I got to do to win a point vs this kid" lol

Been a long time since the last time i watched a tennis match. I feel like the ball goes slower than it used to. If im right then theres no way djokovic can beat alcaraz cause he'll get tired way faster.

Against Alcaraz, you must not merely be at your best but in your absolute 200% best mentally and physically and the fact that Novak reached the AO final and won a set against Carlos at the age of 38 is a testament of how incredible the Serbian fought in this game!!

Yep, this feels like the passing of a torch, from the greatest player of all time. Whether Alcaraz has the making of a legend or just a very good tennis player remains to be seen.

It is difficult not to feel a certain fatigue: enduring the Nadal era was already quite enough, and now we are expected to celebrate Alcaraz with the same enthusiasm. His demeanor often comes across as overtly self‑satisfied, bordering on abrasive, especially in victory, when the performance of humility feels particularly unconvincing.
One might accept his presence on the circuit purely on the strength of his tennis, which is undeniably remarkable, but his attitude makes the whole experience far less palatable than it should be.
