Can the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu compete with the Honda Accord & Toyota Camry?
Video Overview & Insights
The Malibu is a midsize sedan from Chevy. On the outside of the LT you will find 18in wheels and a familiar style. On the inside you will be greeted by an 8in infotainment system and a cloth interior. Under the hood is a 1.5L turbocharged inline-4. Can the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu compete with the Honda Accord & Toyota Camry?
My police department that I work for has them as detective cars

This car is far nicer to look at than either of the overseas options and both the seats and the ride, especially the shifting, are twice as nice. I know it's a cvt but it is as smooth as my GMC pickup and much smoother than my wife's Nissan Altima, with a CVT. Comfortable inside and excellent feature set as well. Also quiet as a mouse in the cabin. Might not last 300k like the Japanese cars but will be much more enjoyable and comfortable to drive while it is around. I would say not a good high mileage used option.
@RonBaker456Dated huh?! I have the 2021 Lt in this color. And shes perfect
@TherealBlackheartI have a 22 Malibu. I love it, it's very quiet. It handles great. It didn't cost me a ton of money when I bought it new. And you know what they are so conservative with the mileage, if it's not too windy, and I'm not too loaded, I get 4344 miles to the gallon, all the time running 70 miles an hour. On the interstate, and I get 26 around town all the time.I love my Malibu, best money.I ever spent the interior is a little plane Jane but three hundred dollars with seat covers and a couple of trim pieces make it wonderful screw , you all
@jimburbank6120You know what this needs? A hybrid. A Strong hybrid and i am sure people will buy it. I got it from carmax back in 2021. I returned it because of the fuel economy. This needs a hybrid.
@VishnuKamathI’ll be picking up one of these on Monday so it was nice to see your review of it. It may not be the fastest but it’s reliable as long as you take care of it and don’t beat up on it.
@YoJonnyQuestAcá en Colombia se parece mucho al onix turbo
@pedrozapata5577I'm a big Audi/BMW fan but looking at this car in that color makes me think that chev. could put a decent drivetrain in this car and update it to compete . It has great lines and looks great. I guess that will never happen because why compete with the Cadillac lineup. Bottom line is that it looks good. Thanks Joe nice job, honest review.
@raymccormack1553Put a nice cover on the steering wheel like I use to do to all my vehicles.
@maxprochile6286i have a 2020 lt i love it
@ohiovoodoo5479flip-phone 😄, way to put it Joe.
@Zurikela-C4GWhy does ur video buffer so much and no it’s not my wifi other videos work fine

@dvak_djThis one is such a NPC car…
@houkin_yankeeEeewwwwww CVT
@jd5179Meh, I’d rather have my 2024 Corolla that I can trick out… 😂
@gstevens6948I really wish they would have refreshed it. It’s really sad :(
@nross33Had this car for a long-term rental...complete plastic fabric cvt garbage....2025 is the last year.
@johntaylor8522That looks just like my 2016 Malibu, inside and outside.
@022141ableCan it compete with Honda or Toyota? Check it in 10 years.
@BigBird000eVtol : electric vertical take off and landing = flying car-ish.
@hcho8164I have always wondered why car manufacturers don’t put a temp gauge for the turbo so you know it’s overheating or not because I’ve seen only some performance cars with turbos with gauges for the turbo n diesel pick ups also. Can anyone explain why they don’t include turbo temp gauges for all turbo cars?
@Russoboy671I love the 2016 limited edition had the 2.5l and the 15 body style but sold as a 16
@Russoboy671what a shitty car
@kfk70Absolute trash
@LocaltrapsquadtvI have the 2015 paid off 170 miles still going strong..
@quillajohnson9256Chevy SUCKS these days. Whoever they got for designing their cars & SUVs should be fired. All their cars design are bad and old. Transmission problems. Duribility issues all around. no horsepower and if they do put an engine that has good horsepower the asking PRICE is way to high. It's no wonder the Japanese cars are kicking its arse. IMO Caddilac is the only one designing their Sedan's correctly for GM's
@Wyoming35Not a bad option for the money! Daily driver with space for a family.
@kellyaustin7487i think it looks great, aggressive front and made my head turn when i saw one
@transit921أحمق عندما تقود السياره من الأفضل تصوير عداد السرعه يا غبي تاج راسك انا عراقي
@abcclass-oh4zqCabin is quiet and comfortable I rent this car before
@cfuhangaok they did make the turbo not the 2.0 like mine
@denisemiller9296I bought new a 2011, 2014, 2016, 2019, and a 2022 january 2023. 2022 last year for the premier with the turbo so had 3 of them and looked hard for it. I will be buying a new one in January but now I will not be able to buy a malibu and don't want one with the 1.5 so I will buy something else sorry GM you let me down
@denisemiller9296To kill the Malibu. Chevy needs to hire the Ford marketing VP who killed the Ford Taurus. He was asked on national TV why the Taurus can't sell and compete with the Camry and Accod and he said: " because they are better cars!" He was fired two hours later and the rest is history. Although when they first designed the Taurus, Ford used computer simulation software that was so advanced, ALL car companies adapted (ripped off) the idea. The main advantage of software was to maximize space but did so many other things.
@dratonbalat3423hahahaha OMG,,
@stevenlexus724I just got my 2022 Chevy Malibu LT a few days ago. I love it. The cool part about it is, there aren't really any changes between that and the 2025. Mine actually has a sunroof / moonroof. 😍😍😍

@antoineosburn8626It’s a shame GM decided not to redesign the Malibu and cancel it all together. I’m interested in replacing my 2020 Malibu, but I feel like they’d rather cater to crossovers, so I’m taking my new car business to another manufacturer. Whatever this weird, beta cuck version of GM is under Mary Barra, I hate it.
@Jtels85Its a great cheap car…thats why theyre knixing it. sad.
@omegaplumbingEspecially if the car you own is a 2012. Was I ever lost in a Mazda 5 rental as I literally sat in that car for many hours, over the next 9 days, just attempting to do the simplest of actions And the Manual which seemed to weigh a ton on my lap was totally useless for handy Q&As. So for me, this car's lack of Tech could very well be appealing. Especially love the location of the fuel and temperature gauges...O heck, I just Love the whole gauge layout!
@HumanOoopSHostess Snow Balls can be found in Morris County's Stop & Shop and or Shop Rite. Bought them somewhat recently, just not certain in which store.
@HumanOoopSStand up Salesman! You are hilarious! Bonus to an enjoyable review.
@timlucasentertainmentMercedes c class is better
@michaelhuynh8793you kill me lol
@dhayden1981I have a 2018 Malibu. It's white. It has over 111k miles on it. I bought it in 2022. I love it, but once it paid off its getting traded in for a newer vehicle. Either a new Tucson or a Kia K5.
@dhayden1981Chevy with a cvt….. yea take it too the shop atp 🤣
@twinndarealistit literally looks the same as the other models smh
