Tech industry legends play Mafia and try to guess who the traitors are before time runs out. Who will win: the townspeople or the secret mafia members?

22:04 Lmao I feel sad for her

— @Annabelle_Noir

Venture capital firm Founders Fund gathered a group of tech leaders for an evening of Mafia, a murder mystery style parlor game. Players are secretly assigned roles and must use deception and debate skills to eliminate the opposing team before they are outnumbered.

FEATURING:

So well played, didn’t do exactly what they didn’t need to do and the town turned on themselves. Brilliant.

sam didnt made a billion dollar company for nothing
bro got some real brain
but being real 1st ep was still the coolest

@opensource32
@

They lowkey show how a small minority can have some type of control besides wildcards in our world

@PapiRRico_PR
@

Host's made huge mistake by continuing game in 3 vs 3 situation because townspersons can't win in this situation.

Love how Moxie straight up broke the rules of the game to expose Sam but Sam calmly handled it with brilliant manipulation and still won

How is the game going on with 3 mafia and 3 townsfolk left.

I'm an Avid Mafia player and this series was a blast to watch, I really hope you do them more often with such intelligent players!

@Beyondth3glass
@

Ryan got a good situation out there , because as she was killed in the 1st time and she saved herself which means she can not be killed in the next round and someone else can be saved by her, and then again in the next round she can save herself

That last celebration was the best😂😂😂

This shows does an excellent job of highlighting how people can overestimate their own abilities, Ryan in particular has held enormous influence in these games and was generally awful.

I NEED EP 4 NOWWWWW

How is the game not over at 6 people with 3 bad guys left? They have infinite stalemating voting power and the ability to kill the next night.

Ryan's shock at 22:44 sent me

@kartikxramesh
@

ca we get dario elon and sam as the mafia for a game?

@diyaanrambhia8241
@

What i don't understand is in second turn why don't Mafia's just go after the Angel. They know angel can't save themselves twice in a row and Ryan did reveal herself coming out of Round 1.

@DesmondMiles333
@

Samm is insaneeee

@HuanitoHanas
@

Notice how Sam was basically non-existent as a towns player but he started yapping and being mr social butterfly the second he's mafia, he's a good manipulator but body language is a pattern beyond intellect and brain-intelligence and they always expose themselves if you're truly attuned to the subtle shifts of behavior 👁

@Mr.Existence
@

Sam Altman was agreeing like chat gpt, "I bellieve ryan is the angle, Liv seems quite genuine, Palmer has been sort of...", reverse psychology.

I think even the audience should not know what role each player has. It keeps us more engaged.
I play mafia a lot. Extend the time for discussions and increase the video time to at least 40 minutes. This will create the utmost drama and this can be turned into the most engaging tv show ever

palmer is basically just the unofficial jester every game, lol. i wonder if announcing the role of the person voted off during the day as mafia or non-mafia could be useful. it would, for example, potentially make sam look like the good guy if they did a palmer sacrifice, which is where things were heading with sam sussing out palmer. they didnt need it in this game because the towns people absolutely sold, but it would've been cool to watch. lol. also, ryan B was right, she should have been gone in night 2, because based on the rules used here, she can't save herself twice, plus every night that she's there, there is a small chance she could save the person targeted by the mafia, which if she does, not only protects the townsmember from a mafia killing at night, but gives her info as to who isn't mafia. i also think you shouldnt HAVE to vote someone off during the day. trials must always be held, names must always be voted for so there is always at least 2 people on the chopping block, and there must be some information gained by people advocating for themselves, but if the towns people can't decide, or the votes aren't enough, there shouldn't be a killing. the online version of town of salem has a good example of this, where people can choose to vote or abstain, and if there arent enough votes, nobody gets voted off (you can decide yourself what system you want to use to figure out what amount of votes is required for there to be a killing in the day). another interesting idea inspired by town of salem is the sharing of the handwritten notes. in town of salem, you can have your own personal notepad, where you can write down your thoughts, and if you're a special role, keep a log of what you did each night (e.g. night 1 - saved myself, night 2 - saved ryan, etc.). if that person dies (either at night by the mafia or the day by the town's vote), their notes get shared with everybody alive in town. in that case, a player like moxie who maybe wanted to reveal what he knew, could at least have a record of what he found out somewhere. but of course, the mafia could also have their own fake logs and fake info on their notepad.

if you really want to go crazy, you could introduce a role that allows you to talk to the dead for one night. again, inspired by town of salem. i cant remember the name of this role, and you'd have to get really creative on how to set this up in an in-person game, but would be cool.
