It's funny how most of these words I don't hear very often in my country
0:00 Introduction
1:47 ambivalent
❤
2:17 capricious
2:42 derogatory
.
3:06 esoteric
3:48 flippant
Lucy, I love your videos, they are really helpful. The only thing I would recommend (if I can from outside), to take a little pause between the examples, helping the students to memorise the given word, or example. I always have to stop after one example, the next one comes too fast.
4:16 grandiose
4:49 histrionic
Great as always! 👏😍
5:18 incongruous
5:40 juxtaposed
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
6:06 laudable
6:26 mercurial
You pronunciations is so clearly!!!!
6:47 nonchalant
7:24 pernicious
Thank you for the great vocabulary , these words are powerhouse ...try not to be hasty.
7:44 quixotic
8:06 resplendent
Excellent !
8:34 subservient
9:06 supercilious
You are pronouncing "grandiose" incorrectly. Please pay attention to the stress, it must fall on the first syllable.
9:28 tenacious
9:57 ubiquitous
I would treasure the lovely behaviour of yours and the expressions you made during the video. Thanks a lot dear!
10:19 vicarious

I have been taking your lectures off and on and trust me you are paying back to the community at the very best of your efforts. I appreciate your efforts and getting more of the British accent listening to you is an additive advantage here. Thank you for your diligence.

English is my second language and some people around me are very well spoken including my boyfriend who uses ornate Vocab in conversations with me and it leaves me feeling confused lol

@mobinagheibi6443Dear Lucy!
Salve! (=Greetings)
I have learned so many adjectives with you. Now I am struggeling to find one to give my language school a name.
May I humbly asked for suggestions?
I should start with an L because I would love to have a alliteration:
a) Lxxxxxx Latin Language.
b) Learning Lxxxxxxx Latin.
You know, it should be like "Learning Beautiful Latin" ;-)
I would very much appreciate an idea from you,
Vale! (Stay safe and sound)
David
Thanks teacher. I'm from Brazil

@ValdereisSouzaLimaSo great ! Thank you so much, you make me realise that Advanced C2 level is just speaking old fashionned english as just when the english royal court spoke french at Shakespeare's time.
Definitly not the kind of english language I want to learn unless I have the project to start a business in writing parodic comedies with Monthy Pythons style.
I just want to improve my B2 level with some subtle touches of C1 level.
I remember when I was in my teens in college, we had a lot of fun to speak with words we extracted from Molière's comedies that were not spoken anymore. Great !
In the same flow of ideas, recently, I had a great experience when I attend a Moliere comedy flowered with words from RnB suburban spoken universe. Hilarious.
So, once again, thank you so much Lucy. You're so Solar. No wonder you loved so much living in Spain.
