Buccos on Ice: The Story of Pittsburgh's NHL Pirates

Video Overview & Insights

Did you know there was once an NHL club named Pittsburgh Pirates? Of course, thoughts of the name will typically go toward baseball. However, the viewer will be transported to 1920s-era Pittsburgh. The NHL Pirates were most famous for being Pittsburgh's first sports team to wear the city's official colors: black and gold.

For the Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) course "Advanced Editing" (MED 270), I completed this video as the "Final Project."

The words "Spring 2017," which can be seen in some scenes with the WCCC logo, refer to the academic semester in which the assignment was completed. The "Previous Projects" and "Websites" sections (see below) enumerate some recommended online resources for further information.
