Great story.
The only cringe moment was hearing people talk about the corporate naming of the arena. I wish that as a country we would stop this. It's not a good thing to do.

When I was 13 years old back in 2012, me and my friends started to watch NHL. We only watched the Swedish league as we live in Sweden. So to decide our separate teams we all bought a cap only based on in to be a cool hat. When I got mine I saw it and thought, well this is my team now I guess. The hat I got was a Anaheim Ducks. With the years now passing I have never really felt comfortable with that wierd decision that a hat design was supposed to pick me a team. So I started to wonder, what is hockey to me. And I thought: Hockey to me is pondhockey, snow, flanellshirts, long winters and autumns.
Hockey is NOT California, beaches, warm and sunny weather.
So I looked of the different teams spread out in North America. And I immediately locked my eyes on the Wild. I started to look into the history of the community around the team and the culture in Minnesota. And what I found was..home.
This video gave me chills several times, struck me right in the heart.

I wish to someday visit the great city of Minneapolis & St Paul to watch the Wild’s!
Some might call me bandwagon or plastic fan, but I call myself a Wild’s fan 💚🤍

I like to think every one of the six goals in the first Dallas game is a season of payback for there not being a Minnesota team

Being a Vikings fan living in Florida. I finally picked my NHL team. Go wild. Time to learn a lot.

As a Die Hard Rangers fan from Connecticut, my Dad went to college in Minnesota and was even a Season Ticket Holder for the North Stars for a couple of years. I was so young when the North Stars moved to Dallas. I always felt bad for Minnesota Natives when they lost their team. I was very happy when they were awarded the Wild! My Dad and I always dreamed of seeing the Rangers play in every Arena someday. As a kid we did a few Road games every couple of years. We started making this a full time yearly tradition of traveling in 2017 and it all began in Minnesota! Now we're more than halfway done! Minnesota has continued to be one of our top favorite Arenas so far!

Thank you St. Paul mayor Norm Coleman AND original Wild team owner Bob Nieglie Jr.! And thank you to the leadership of our state, for bringing home hockey and the Minnesota Wild!💚💛❤💚💛❤

For people that don't understand the North Stars in St. Paul; Locally, any game the Stars played, it was so popular that you'd hear and see it on TV and radio anywhere you were, even from people that weren't into in hockey. They were baked into the culture. The Wild bringing hockey back was obviously awkward, but the fans came around and embraced them almost immediately.

The state that elects weirdos, communists and socialists. And the team that has never accomplished anything in the playoffs and never will accomplish anything in the playoffs.

Love how they paint the parise sutter trade. It ABSOLUTELY KILLED US!!!!!!! We have been working out from under that for the last 3 years!!!!! In the grand scheme of things the amount we paid to both players crippled the team and wasnt worth the return!

Politicians always talking about how they see someone else at a place with food. Whether it be a a breakfast or dinner. Weird.

I’d rather win a championship than celebrate mediocrity. But that’s right wing extremism.

Those original wild jerseys are sick too. Their design is so unique and cool. You got the trees and sunrise all in the shape of a wolfs head howling.

Many Dallas Stars fans were not happy with Neal Broten for what he did the first time the Wild played the Stars at the Xcel Energy Center

My brother just recently passed from a very sudden and extremely fast case of Lou Garrick syndrome. As I watched this and the first image of the civic center brought back my childhood memories of my brother during state high school hockey tournaments. He became a legend and he never touched the ice. He made a costume wore face paint and he ran up, down and around that whole arena working the crowd. From our small town of Hibbing Mn the legend of the sheik rose and showed up year after year. He created such a stir and soon every hockey and football team had fans wearing face paint and a person in costume working the crowd….
