Looks so good
Recipe: https://sugarspunrun.com/breakfast-casserole/
Ingredients
Thank you for giving the internal temp! I always over cook things so now I always keep my instant read next to the stove. 165 F
2 cups diced frozen hash browns (255g)
1 lb breakfast sausage (453g)
how much should a large egg suppose to weigh, I never knew you had to do this...LOL
1 small onion, diced (about 1 cup, 140g)
1 red bell pepper, diced small (about 1 cup, 120g)
Great presentation but, why do you speak so fast? Slow down so we don't have to sliw the speed & listen to a dragged out voice!
2 teaspoons minced garlic
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese (226g)
Great ingredients! Easy recipe
12 large eggs
¾ cup heavy cream (180ml)
Why not both sausage and bacon 😋
¼ cup whole milk (60ml)
5 dashes tabasco sauce
Trying this for Easter brunch with my son’s family. It looks yummy.
½ teaspoon table salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
I just made your breakfast casserole. It is delicious 😋
⅛ rounded teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Looks good! The picture in the beginning of this video showed something 'green' in the piece of casserole... the end result picture did not... just wondering what that was...spinach? parsley? green pepper? or...?
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
Could I make a Larger Dish 11 x 13? How many more eggs would I add for the larger dish?
00:15 Preheat oven to 375F (190C) and lightly grease the sides and bottom of a 13x9” (33x22cm) baking dish with butter.
00:35 Spread diced potatoes evenly over the bottom of the prepared dish, set aside.
Use ham! No sausage! So bummed.
00:55 In a skillet over medium/high heat, cook sausage until browned, crumbling as you go. When cooked through, remove the sausage with a slotted spoon to the baking dish (to drain the oil from it) and layer over the potatoes.
01:50 Using the same skillet you cooked the sausage in (I do not drain it unless I have more than a Tablespoon or two of grease remaining, conversely if you don’t have any grease remaining add 2 Tablespoons of butter to the pan to cook the pepper and onion), cook pepper and onion over medium heat, stirring frequently and cooking until softened (about 5 minutes).
I will be making this for Christmas Eve breakfast
02:30 Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add mixture over the sausage.
03:06 Sprinkle cheese into the baking dish and gently stir everything together until ingredients are well dispersed.
Flavors were amazing my only concern is that base seemed soupy. Was it that frozen hashbrowns melting the ice ? Should defrost it before putting in oven? Or is itwater coming from the caramalized onions? Please advise. Thanks !
03:33 In a separate, large mixing bowl, vigorously whisk the eggs until well combined.
04:43 Add milk, cream, tabasco, pepper, nutmeg, and salt into your eggs and until well combined. Pour evenly into baking dish.
looks great!😊
06:03 Transfer to center rack of 375F (190C) preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, until edges are set and the very center is only slightly jiggly. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Is there much difference in browning on the edges between 375 vs 350f?
Storing
Allow casserole to cool then cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days. It may also be frozen for up to a month. May be reheated in the microwave (don’t over-cook it, heat in short bursts) or in a 350F (175C) preheated oven covered with foil until heated through.
beautiful child my husband 💕 doesn't speak any more. I try to stay positive he was a firefighter. Crew is back. Westinghouse house
Making in advance
Prepare the casserole through step 8. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. The next day, allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes while the oven heats to 375F (190C), gently stir, then bake as indicated in preheated oven. Note that it may take a bit longer (5-10 minutes) to bake if the pan is still cold.
❤❤❤❤❤❤...love no spices
To bake in advance: Follow above instructions for storing and, for best results, reheat in the oven as indicated (this will likely take 30 minutes or so).

Ohh I’m so happy you’re not using a worthless wooden utensil on your sausage. They are so thick and bulky.

Looks Good!!
@TerriSchmidt-tg9swLooks great! I'm going to try this soon, maybe I'll just make an 8"x8" to try it now before Christmas. However we don't like sausage, so I'll sub in cooked ham or cooked crispy bacon instead.
@CXJ1898💖💘💝
@sharonhaas8503Delicious, and great for supper too !!
@mattwinters9790Has anyone ever tried this with fresh potatoes. I don’t usually buy the frozen ones.
@Hbd2002I use to make quiche all the time. Which is very similar. I always use to put ham and bacon and swiss cheese and asparagus tips with egg of course and baked in a pie crust. It was so good❤
@SupremeWin777-7Some of these breakfast casseroles in some peoples videos are really gross looking but this one that you made is beautiful. It looks delicious❤❤❤
@SupremeWin777-7Love it.
@george1528Yum. Thanks.
@anthonydolio8118I love your recipe! And your video. You make it seem so easy and give good instructions. Thank you! ❤
@layingthefoundationsminist6483This looks awesome! Tried out a recipe with potatoes and cubed bread. Wife and I didn’t like the sogginess of the bread. So I like how this is just hash browns and eggs
@jpow12Ugh. So bomb.
@xxxgalxexxxI'm making your recipe for Christmas morning. I've watched your video about 5 times,and I think I've got it now. Wish me luck. Thank you, oh and I'm subscribing !
@catherinehenry6762Can I half this recipe?
@twixbar90Forget bacon or sausage - use Chorizo instead
@ncironhorse8367First time I've seen your videos and I'm going to try this recipe 🙂 thanks!
@moretoexplore6736Looks wonderful. I'm looking for something different for Christmas. I will make the night before and cook in the morning. I think it should work based on other "make ahead" casseroles I've seen.
Thanks
Diced potatoes are called homefries shredded ones are hash browns in most places... Unless you're in Kansas and they have it backwards
@terriec808Can you prepare this the day before?
@pjfan173good video. looks delicious and I love that this was equal parts instructional, chatty, and yet to the point. Thanks!
@sethbrolsma516Nice recipe but you talk too much.
@dorothearobinson3455Can you make this the night before, refrigerate it and then bake it in the morning?
@janetg.Looks very good!
@joyscranfield5527Don't throw the eggshells in the garbage!! Break them up and put them out for the chickens to eat. That will improve the calcium in their egg shells when they lay more eggs
@scotto9591Love how you say eggs. Looking forward to trying this recipe for my husband's birthday this month.
@CathyHarrison-h6gI will be making this for sure, I just love all of your delicious recipes and you make them easy to make you're the best thank you
@christinebrown9343This looks so good 😊
Question.....can oatmilk replace the regular milk and vegan cream replace the regular cream?
I know from experience that vegan cheese can replace the regular cheese.
I need to take a breakfast casserole to a church brunch and this would be perfect but we have ladies with dairy issues.
Thanks 👍
Loved following you. It was so easy!
@karenfernandez3950This turned out fantastic! I added some other veggies and it was a hit. Great as leftovers too. Thanks!
