Mom was such an underrated show no question about it and there were so many opportunities to develop different characters but I think Christie leaving the show was the death knell because her character was a linchpin to making all of this work, however, if someone had some imagination, they could string together events that would see the show continue with different characters like developing the 2 kids even if you have to use different actors because the storyline is just that good and the story surrounding sobriety is such an important story that there’s just no end to what the show brings in terms of the weightiness of having to deal with such a tough subject as alcoholism and issues associated with addiction.

Yet Bonnie’s mother never mentioned Ray….
