Big U-Turn On Trump’s $100K H1B Fee: Indians On Visas in US Get Massive Relief, Here’s What Changed

Video Overview & Insights

In a major relief for Indian tech professionals and students in the U.S., the Trump administration has clarified that the controversial $100,000 H1B visa fee hike will not apply to those already in the country on valid visas like F-1, L-1, or H-1B. This announcement comes after widespread panic among workers and employers fearing the exorbitant fee would block careers and startups. The $100K fee will only affect new applicants outside the U.S. The H1B visa remains a vital gateway for skilled workers, especially Indians who make up 70% of holders.

Get the fuck out of the USA. India and China get the fuck out.

It’s interesting to think that hundreds of years ago the British went to India and looted Indian’s treasury. Now they are coming to US/UK/Canada/Australia to loot the job market.

So don’t blame the Indians. Blame the British for teaching Indian English. What comes around goes around.

Our own college graduate with two majors/degrees cannot find a job. Half of the employees at Nvidia are Indians. It’s time to deport all of them. American jobs for Americans first.

Indian companies in the US have been only hiring H1B visa workers from India. This is being racist and discriminatory!!!

@AmericaFCS

I have worked in Silicon Valley for over 30 years. The majority of H1B visa employees do not have advanced or exceptional skills. They have average skills and need to be trained on the job.

Attitude and body language of our tech employees must improve. They are technically highly competent. They work hard and are principled. They are assets and not intruders. America is not doing any favors to them.

Indians should AVOID going to USA for studies.

American dream, lol. It's an "American" trap. We don't produce much anymore & we import more than we export.

AI will take most jobs within 5 years if not sooner.

@ep799
@

They keep telling us we are getting replaced by AI. Not true. All those jobs are going to H1B visa holders and new offices in India. Check the numbers of layoff here vs H1B visas and new jobs in India. Coincidence?

Only reason for this U-Turn is that US Colleges rely heavily on Indian Students paying huge fees. This was going to be wiped away with the new law. This will cause less job openings for US Citizens Students..who are already reeling under failing job market and now will face competition from foreign students as well.

The title of the video is very misleading. It is not a "U-Turn" on Trump's fee. Anyone that thinks that didn't understand the new policy before hand, nor understands it after multiple clarifications have been made. Nothing has changed to the new policy, and it is also just an initial step of changes that will come that are essential and fundamental to rebuilding the American economy and job market.

It makes sense to take only the top 0.01%, not top 10%. We can grab the people like the top 10% off the streets by the truck loads.

America should impose high taxes on large corporations that outsource jobs overseas. For decades, these corporations have conducted massive layoffs and outsourced jobs overseas, choosing to hire only local contractors for salary positions with no benefits.

India is not breathing easy. For it will not have breathing problem. Those, like Trump, who want to cause it are getting their wind pipe choked.

A welcome relief for students and tech professionals already in the US. But for new applicants abroad, the $100K H1B fee remains a heavy blow. It prices out talented engineers, doctors, and founders who’ve long looked to the U.S. for opportunity and over time, that limits the very innovation the West was once known for.
