@victoriabrown2923Every time I've been to Cape Tribulation I've seen people swimming. If you visit this area don't even think about it, even if others are. There have been crocodile attacks in the area and the crocodile warning signs are there for good reason. Get a hotel or resort with a decent pool or visit the lagoon at the Cairns Esplanade.
@danj7168Cairns is beautiful but I wouldn’t visit between October and March. It’s stinking hot and the beaches are populated with venomous jellyfish. You will need to wear a stinger suit to be safe. And correct about the crocodiles in the rivers

@JLGASS223A better way to get to Airlie beach rather than connecting through Townesville would be to book onto the Spirit of Queensland. Train goes from Cairns down to Brisbane and you can stop at Proserpine and take a bus to Airlie beach.
