BEST Monitors for Productivity GUIDE (2026)

Video Overview & Insights

The complete 2026 guide to choosing the right monitor for productivity and gaming, covering everything from screen size, aspect ratio and curve to panel technology, resolution, PPI, refresh rate, colour accuracy and connectivity. Whether you're weighing up an ultrawide, super ultrawide, OLED, IPS Black or mini-LED display, or even a TV as a monitor, this buying guide breaks down every spec that matters so you can pick the best monitor for your setup and budget.

recently got rid of my desk and got 2 end tables that I place by each chair arm and a wireless split keyboard and place each half on each end table... got my 43-inch monitor and turned it over into portrait mode and this by far been my most productive set up , having all my windows directly in front of me instead of split left and right makes multi-tasking feel so much more natural, I usually have 2 or 3 windows open and pin a background video on the top third of the monitor and the bottom 2/3 for daily productivity... not having a giant desk in front my speakers makes them sound a lot better too.

Question, the Dell coming in at what is it, 4800R vs for example a G9 at 1000R how is it? I now work on a 3rd variant of the G9 (first two had some grey color flickering issues), but I love the 1000R and not needing to lean in to see stuff around the edges. However, I would like to upgrade a bit to something with more pixels. Would you still recommend the dell? Im scared of needing to lean in basically..

I really enjoyed your video. It was very informative and helped me understand the differences between OLED and LED displays. This is exactly the monitor I've been looking for—something that's great for both gaming and work, especially since I use 3D software. Your explanations were clear, educational, and easy to follow. Thanks for making such an informative and helpful video!

Thanks for the great videos! Probably the best ones I saw in the lead-up to my own purchase.
I'd be really interested to see you do a review of the Lenovo P40WD-40. It's another rival to the 40" Dell panel. Wanted the Dell but I ended up buying the Lenovo after getting a great deal on it.
There's barely any reviews on it so I was pretty skeptical but I'm loving it this far.
I was looking for a 40" with a subtle curve for CAD in my home office and it was a great value proposition to the Dell which costs an arm and a leg.

Hi! Great video!

I am looking for similiars option for a cheaper price, refurbished or in promotion. What would be a cheaper option to get a similar result? -- If you'd have a chepear budget, I am wondering which would be your picks to get as much the same results.

Looking forward to hear from you!

First time watcher on this channel – great video! I was thinking of getting two Dell U3225QE's, I've not looked too much at the U5226KW but I see that getting two 32"s are cheaper in my country. I also don't mind multiple monitors, not sure if I would like everything on one screen. I use a MBP. Thoughts?

Wish the industry would come out with a 5k2k at 34inches (166 PPI) OR for the 16:9 ratio crowd to come out with true 5K (2880p) monitors at 36 inches (166 PPI) and 42 inches (140 PPI).

Hi Pete great video - i am looking into the Dell 52 6k for mainly productivity - coming from a 38 LG inch - running it with a MBP M1 Max maxed out verison - will i get 120 Hz? Appreciate your feedback.

A clear and thorough overview for monitor shoppers. My current setup - two 24” IPS monitors with zero features other than an HDMI and DisplayPort - is working well because I use it mostly for videoconferencing with one display for the actual video and the other for things I need to reference or essentially an electronic collection of reference books. They’re connected to an M2 Max Mini Pro. I’ll be looking for connectivity options to reduce the clutter and provide more ports, including an option to connect an old MacBook running Linux or my Windows laptop. The size is perfect, but a higher refresh rate and IPS black would be nice options. The only reason I can think to get a larger screen would be to eliminate having a TV altogether.

LG monitors now install software onto windows computers and serve ads for mcafee. Do not use them, under any circumstances.

16:9 and 21:9 are ΝΟΤ for productivity, they are for entertainment media consumption. It gets better with X by 10..marginally. Best aspect for productivity is 3:2 but good luck finding any. Other than that, thank you for all the effort put in this high quality and detailed video ;)

04:49 Panel technology LCD vs OLED

So sad the 52" Dell doesn't have the Thunderbolt pass-through like the 40". I have both but use the 40" for this reason, plus the 52" is just too big.

How does the Dell 52" look from across the room, could you watch a movie on it from say 10ft away or does the curve make something like that un-viewable? My office is also a bedroom so I watch films sometimes from across the room currently on a 32" but that has no curve.

For hybrid with gaming setup, I am looking forward to Dell Alienware AW3926QW. I think I can trade KVM built-in and go a little bit smaller for that price gap. I would like to know your sound setup for 2 sources as well (I am using Windows PC from my work laptop, Windows for gaming desktop, and MacOS for my other productivity tasks).

not mentioning 1440p when you talked about resolutions is genuinely a crime

@AllHaildasnailMuhehe

For me, the Dell 52 would be perfect if it just had a more aggressive curve. Say, 1000R, like the LG.

@Shag1077

Not sure how many people are aware of it, but you can buy the Dell 6k without the stand from their website for $500 cheaper. There are under $200 arms available that will support its weight. Just some money saving tip.

Any thoughts on the LG Ultragear Adware? did you experience constant pop-ups for McAfee?

I was just looking for a monitor video, and there you go! Btw which ultra ultra wide do you recommend (49inch) non Samsung with proper KVM to switch between Mac and Windows and can be a gaming monitor😁
