Best Ever Crispy Baked Chicken Wings - How to Perfectly Bake Crispy Wings in the Oven

Video Overview & Insights

These oven baked chicken wings are so crispy, they taste just like deep fried chicken wings. This chicken wings recipe is the best way to perfectly bake crispy chicken wings in the oven. The spices i used on these wings are out of this world flavorful.

So what happens if i dont have a rack lmfao

— @Antheywereded

INGREDIENTS

3 lbs chicken wings

made these without backing powder or brown sugar and they came out amazing!!

— @syntrexfpv1347

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp onion powder

I bought racks for this "go to" recipe, a family fav

— @annetttt

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp cumin

How much baking soda do yuse

— @CeciliaBurke-p9f

2 tsp chilli powder

2 Tbs Brown sugar

Mine looked the same, can’t say, they were crispy. I was disappointed

— @martinadirusso9478

2 Tbs baking powder

salt and pepper to your taste ( i used just about 1 and 1/2 tsp salt and a little over 1/4 tsp black pepper )

These are so good!

These wings are so subtle and incredible tasting! Almost like they're basic fried chicken wings but the seasoning is a gamechanger! This is on my top recipe list from now on 🤌

Important thing to know… make sure you dry all the moisture off the wings first.. helps with getting them crispy 🥹

I couldn’t get mine to look that red before going into the oven, you think it’s because I have smoked paprika?

I got my new baking rack today and it is going to be initiated with your recipe this weekend. Can’t wait to try it!

I would love to see a cleaning video of the baked wire rack. Because it would drive me insane to not be able to get back my pristine silver finish especially on a new item used for the first time.

After that much time in the oven, I can imagine they are very crispy, but are they still juicy on the inside or do they dry out?

I baked these wings last night 🙂Husband approved, thank you. I did use tin foil under the rack, clean up was a breeze. Delicious & Easy to make the seasoning was awesome

Yo this lady just made me waste $14 worth of chicken on this garbage recipe. Holy shit, and you can see some of the seasoning just sitting on the wings completely dry. I should have ran away the minute this lady said sugar, cumin and chili powder. I should have trusted my gut.

Yo, am i tripping? These comments have to be fake. The seasoning mix was horrible. These tasted like shit.

Convincing recipe. However, I baked it all at 200 degrees Celsius (which is less) and it came out close to perfect after 20 minutes. 30 were already a bit too much.
Apart from that the amount of marinade also would have been enough for twice as much chicken. Next time I probably would reduce the amount of sugar, though...

I tried this and it "upped my game", for sure. However, I will make some changes next time: 1. slow cook them at 250 for an hour before turning up the heat for the crust as the meat was a little rubbery for my taste. I want them falling off the bone. (and maybe marinate them with a little salt...) 2 - cut the baking powder by 1/2 as it was noticeably "powdery" in taste. 3- change the spices to fit my taste like switch brown sugar to just 1 tb. of sugar, switch the cumin for 1/2 tsp of cayenne and drop the chili powder. It was an easy recipe and I got decent results.

the key with the baking powder is it has to be a brand that doesn't have the aluminum in it, or it will taste bitter and like the aluminum baking powder when they come out. the best brand baking powder for wings is Rumford. you must get the Rumford baking powder. A of these videos dont tell you that in the video, or they dont know. but the secret is the brand RUMFORD BAKING POWDER.

Can this be done on boneless thighs that have been cut to the size of a wing?

I can’t find the measurements. Where is the “description box”.

Good recipe except cooking time is too long. They’re done when 165 degrees internal, so don’t overbake these for an hour - they’ll be overcooked and dry. Instead 15 minutes each side, finish off under broiler. Yum :-)

should the wings be dried before seasoning ????
