For those that aren't in the know, the album that this is parodying is called "A Crow Looked At Me" by Phil Elverum (Same person behind 'The Glow Pt. 2"). This album was made in a 6 month period after his wife died to pancreatic cancer. He recorded this album in the same room, with the same instruments she used to work on some of Mount Eerie's other albums. To quote Phil from his bandcamp page, "I make these songs and put them out into the world just to multiply my voice saying that I love her. I want it known."
This album was released by someone who clearly didn't grow out of his edgy phase in middle school.
