Why don't they just setup a payment plan for every American to get 1 Ai Robot to rent then we can send the Ai robots to work for the corporations so it's like humanity is working and we continue getting paid by the corporations and then we can pay to rent the Ai machine and if your jobless you get the machine free until you start getting a paycheck once you get the paychecks coming in then you start paying and if anything goes wrong Ai companies can repair the machines, it takes the humans out of the work force and everybody keeps getting paid while the Ai does the work

Idk I feel like he's onto something. If through taxes we make AI for commercial use more expensive than a human worker, that would result in less mass firings and the economy survives.

A job is producing and providing that which someone wants but does not yet have. Want is effectively infinite, therefore jobs are effectively infinite.
Jobs are the CHORES we must do to produce and provide goods and services. Usually we WANTS to reduce the chore we have to do.
Automation frees up labor from producing that which is now automated to be able to do the jobs producing OTHER goods and services that could not be produced before that labor was freed up. This has been been REALITY for all of human history. It was is HOW we have the variety and abundance and affordability of everything we have today. People for some reason imagine what has been true for all of human history is going to for some reason reverse that trend that has been true for all of human history.

On this one, I don't know what the solution is going to be. If we keep eliminating jobs, then UBI comes into the conversation. If we utilize AI to replace the diminishing workforce to get the same productivity output, then it is probably sustainable. But if it is just a means to eliminate the workforce, then we will have a whole lot of people who are disenfranchised with society. Boredom mixed with animosity sounds like a recipe for more extremists groups like ANTIFA.

Bots only consume resources. If folk don't have jobs, there won't be any money to fund the bots. The folk that control the bots need to know they will lose all if they continue this nonsense. :)

Sorry Tim, AI is the greatest tool for learning new skills and information ever created. You can literally make yourself unfirable at your job because you are so productive, it's amazing. You can optimize retirement accounts and plans by iterating with AI tools. You can improve every part of your life and people just pretend it's Skynet because you all watch too much TV.

Kind of a useless idea. AI companies all have negative income. Even if they somehow manage to turn that around in the future they'll just leave the US to avoid such a tax. The ones that stay for government contracts will make a deal.
