It's a shame because this is cool and I'd play it, but as soon as it's a portal mode I won't bother. Won't get full lobbies, no challenge progression, limited XP

commander mode has always made me want a proper battlefield RTS game dedicated to that mode specifically.

3:39 - BF4 had the mobile commander mode. I heavily recall a LvlCap video of him playing a round from the john on an iPad Air.

I did enjoy it when commander mode was an iPad app for BF4. Meant I could keep getting XP when at work on breaks. Or not.

I remember being in the toilet taking my team to victory!!!

I was in a clan the commander made things great fun and a great feature, was funny to send a squad to there death or artillery your squad when messing about on our private server with clan teamspeak, then when we played competitive league matches a good commander could really turn what would have been a bad match into something better, it added an extra layer of game play depth.

This needs to be its own mode. Awesome

it needs to comeback the devs have seen this lets hope future seasons bring commander mode back for each team, it can really change the Tide of War.

I remember taking a jeep and putting c4 onto the enemy artillery. Then killing those who came to repair it.

I remember playing commander mode in bf4 when I was eating but still wanted to play 😂 loved it and miss it.

i want slower TTK and BF5 Building defenses and using squad streaks like smoking a area or dropping a ammo and health box or the mini Nuke for bigger maps. and closed weapons...

Touched on BF4 commander, seeing it come back to BF6 would be incredible if made part of the game again, getting quads on operation locker and flying around getting road kills was a laugh

No metter hoe good people do the maps in Portal nobody's gonna play it because it's Portal.

Nobody plays Portal. There are many other OFFICIAL modes in BF anyways. Portal is buggy, laggy, glitchy it's not 100% replica of the official thing be it the lightning or anything else. That only distances players from it. Portal is just a miss. Always was.

I played BF4 in my teens, I have a kid now.
I'd love to be able to hand my kid a tablet and tell him to cover me with commander mode.

I want them to make a complete BF2 remake as a new game, but keep all the good things BF2 had but with better graphics, remake (or re-use) the soundtracks.

Bf can't even bring back hardcore modes, even though so many want it. Much less something like this coming back

Recall sending feedback when BF3 was released that lack of Commanders made the game more chaotic, so must have liked it at the time... But can see how this may not work so well in BF6 - would you want a squad just sitting there protecting the commander? That's a lot of power in the hands of one player - mortars become redundant, whoever destroys the opponent's command center wins?

I was a Top Commander in BF2 and would be rewarded and made Commander because of my Commander Rank.

There was voting for the position and you could be voted out but I never was because I communicated and supported my team.

Js play squad and HLL at this point tho no? They do it better than battlefield, I guess the only appeal for BF these days is for people who like arcade gameplay like COD.
