As a fellow DCAU lover I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video! It cleared up a lot of questions I had about BTAS, TNBA and JLU! It's also amazing to see another person so passionate and particular about the shows we all love so much! We CARE! As soon as that Joker quote came up near the end of the video, the comment about the ears being too long I was like THANK YOUUU! SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED! The ROTJ movie and the JLU Wild Card two parter, not to mention the other JL episodes the Joker was featured in always made my head explode, just because of that one line! Plus I think this is the only subject that I'm able to think about and follow as fast as you were able to talk. Awesome work!

Batman's always-evolving costume is something that has bugged me for...decades. When the producers of the shows/comics/games/mac-n-cheese can't keep it straight...how are we expected to?
Hear me out. There is Condiment King. Sometimes you have to use older costume, because current and all spares - are damaged by Alfred's arch nemesis

Its also possible the reason the New Batman Adventures suit is on display is simply thats Batmans personal favrite. Batman is pragmatic he will wear a better suit even if he dosnt like the design as much, but fore display purpuses he will probably just go with his personal taste. Ore maybe the JL suit just got damagey beyond repair so there was nothing to display

Batman's suit is prone to getting damaged. So they have refined the process of making the suits. Changes are made.

@lucasromerova6150I know this is like a 7 year old video and all however i do feel like for each batsuit is probably a different one since if anything as old bruce in Batman beyond says the stuff about gun shot wounds and cuts and shit.
I would be surprised every time 1 gets torn up and unusable he had a new suit which he likes two designs so much that he just decided make multiple of.
Just in case his current one dies and considering what THE Batman goes thru in either show.

@ABsConscienceThe suits with just the simple black symbol (save for the original one) are all the same suit. You're just seeing them from different perspectives - the same way two people can witness the same event but will recall them differently. shrug
@LurkMorrisonIt's definitely because of his brushes with the CONDIMENT KING and Alfred has to spend some time cleaning the stains out of the suit.

@joeker5208This reminds me of the live action Wonder Woman series when WW has an updated costume in season two but shows the same season two suit during a flashback that took place during season one.
@WallywestSJI grew up watching Batman The Brave and the Bold and Justice League which is why to me at least, Batman without the blue on the suit just isn't Batman. The blue is a part of Batman's suit. Grey and black only is boring imo. The blue and yellow should always be present in a batsuit but again, that's just my opinion
@laurwolfxd_3830Given how the 2 flashbacks about harley quinns' origin and dick retiring as robin are told by harley and dicks perspective its possible that they where so used to batmans latest look that they thought of batman wearing thay suit in the flashback
As for the suits in the new adventures and the justice league it's possible that each time he switched between suits, it was because they where knew suits that coincidently looked like the previous suits

Bruce only made 1 costume. Which throughout the years changed due to wear.
I think as he got older and angrier he changed the suit to the black logo ditching the yellow oval. Changed his belt. I think by JLU and BTNA it's the same suit as that's the final iteration. And for JL it is artistic to give him blue.
I'm just happy to go with the explanation 'his other suit was in the wash' - they're always getting covered in dirt, blood, entrails etc.

@craigadams3639I always like Batman switching costumes . But the costume during the JL ERA. When ears those ears were taller it gave Batman look more terrifying and a supernatural look too. This was a good episode .about the changes in the Bat suits. Good research.👍👍👍👍👍

@noahames-j5yAs someone who has drawn most of my life, I appreciate the different suits from a design perspective. I never really gave the canon of it any thought other than the order I watched it in.

@Niebla.o7Making a new suit doesn’t prevent him from still using the old ones, if a new suit has a hole in it or a seam comes undone or something happens that means he can’t wear it/it needs to be repaired, then he can just wear one of the old ones and that would count for Batman wearing old suits randomly.

@MaGIKzIIxTo be fair, batman should be all black, if anything wouldn’t be it would be the emblem either grey or black with a small yellow outline. Everything else should be all black

Every different Batsuit is cool and I like to think that each one serves a different purpose and has certain special tricks for different situations and missions! @PowherkrangunchIn my opinion, I just think that he changes between bat suits every once in a while when he feels like wearing one against the other, just makes sense to me because it’s basically like somebody just choosing a shirt to wear you never wear the same one every time, but you’ll always have a favorite
