hi! i am thinking of adopting a hamster whose current owner is rehoming them. the owner would give me the terrarium that the hamster has lived in, it is 35” x 18” x 17”. would you suggest getting a bigger cage or do you think this size would be okay for the hamster?

My best friends! I thank your channel for helping me love hamsters; when I was in elementary I have my two pet hamsters and my pet cats and my pet guineas and more! And I thank them for being in my life so much and then I bring them to class and I thank my mom for helping me with them everyday so much when she found out that I have them from my allowances and I thank it really so much with my mommy

Thank you so much for this video! I just got a Syrian hamster and of course got the plastic cage to go with it because I did not know any better. (Also why do they even sell those at a pet store?) I now have a bigger enclosure and know hot to properly care for him! Thank you for enlightening people on how to properly care for their small friends!

I have just got ahamster he was in a horrible cage yesterday today I just got what I could get wich was a tank 91. X 46. It’s obviously a huge difference from what he was in and I’ve honestly gone out and got him everything branches and cork bark he 11 weeks old at moment

Question, I was thinking of getting two dwarf hampsters and having this one large enclosure (with all they need. Food, water, burrow space, etc) with tubes running to other small cages (these would be extra spaces to explore if they wanted to). Do you think this would keep them from fighting or would it be best to just not risk it?

I got a cambell hamster male from store 1 week ago. Its 4 month old . I started to tame it but i got bites starting days then i stopped touching for few days only feeding and talking. But when i try to tame it today it bite again. How can i stop this. Or cambell dwarf can tame fully or ?

They Need a Large Area to live in. 1:59 do you like to burrow in 31 inches for tunnels and a place to go to the bathroom. 16 in of bedding at a minimum. 2:51 Aspen shavings hemp shavings and paper shavings, Bruce Shavings are okay. 3:22 Layering different shaving are good but be sure they can burrow and make tunnels. 3:48 No Cotton Not Safe!!! 4:08 Non-Sented toilet paper is Good. Needs Wheel needs to be the right material and Size. NEED A SOLID wheel, 4:47 Types of wheels. 5:08 Sizes of wheels are to be a certain size to keep it's back straight. 6:18 NO Hamster Balls. 7:31 Hamster Enclosure tips 7:35 Diet of Hamsters. 8:36 Choosing the correct food mix, 9:24 Need water in bottle or bowl keeping it clean. 10:02 Don't need to clean weekly, but that's the reason for a Large enclosure. Cleaning cages stress Hamsters out. Just Spot clean DON'T do full cage cleaning. It takes a hamster almost 1 hour to relax if you do a full cleaning. 11:30 Poop doesn't smell and they use it for marking their area. 12:26 Don't Bath Hamster. 12:54 They take Sand baths. MUST BE a Safe Sand. 13:40 Childrens Play sand is good but sift through and bake it OR reptile sand that DOESN'T have Calcium or dues added. 13:56 Adding different Textures in their inclosures Help maintain their nails. 14:05 clipping Nails, 14:21 Need proper Teeth maintenance 14:47 Social or Solitary. They're Solitary don't have more than one. 15:40 Human interaction they are not used to humans and aren't domesticated to be held. It can take days weeks months or years before they are comfortable with you. Health they hide when they are ill.

@ButeoButeo24Your videos have been very helpful as we are preparing to get a hamster in a few weeks! I wondered about a ball for them and decided against it because we had a hedgehog several years ago and she got her toe stuck in the slits of it and it tore her little nails really bad. I noticed Syrian hamsters'feet look sort of similar to hedgies', and decided to find an alternative to that. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
@chronicallyspeaking360Question, I've heard that any scented bedding is bad because of upper respiratory issues but someone is trying to say that the Kaytee lavender scented paper bedding is safe because it's all natural? Is it still Not Safe? Thank You
