Everyone is talking about Alvarez
It's like we're all trying to ignore the fact that he hasn't been playing well since he joined Atleti
The world cup is here and he has been non-existent in the games
A 39 year old Messi is playing better than him each day
I feel we should pause and think about this
He is not worth that price
He is not a striker that can give high goal output
He ha never been that striker
Laporta and Deco are forcing him on the fans
In my opinion, Osimhen is a better striker than Alvarez amd would fit this team well cos he is exactly like Haaland
This elite strikers just know how to put the ball in the back of the net in ways that can't be taught
Alvarez isn't one of them
He has never been one of them
He went to Atleti and was underwhelming
Osimhen moved to the Turkish league and became the best player in the whole league in his first two seasons
He won them the league cup twice just like he did at Napoli and he has since become the most important player in the Turkish league
He also took further into the champions league
Too bad he got injured in the last game before they were knocked out
His teammates also didn't provide him with enough firepower so he was basically running it all by himself
Alvarez would not have been able to replicate that
He has never replicated that
Alvarez plays in an Atleti side that is way better than Galatasaray but somehow he has been underwhelming
Ademola lookman who was signed recently has given better performances than him
It has come to that point where we can't kid ourselves anymore
Alvarez isn't the Suarez or Benzema we hope him to be
He is just a back up striker and that is enough
The issue is skipping a world class striker like Osimhen at the peak of his game to sign an underwhelming player
We shouldn't make that mistake
If Osimhen was Spanish, Laporta and Deco would be falling over themselves to get his signature
They wouldn't endure all this clownish embarrassment from Atleti cos of Alvarez
People say Alvarez can press, well Osimhen is a better presser
Osimhen is better all round as a striker cos he can bully defenders in a way Alvarez can't and he is also a very dangerous aerial threat
So those long crosses will usually find their way into the net often with him than with Alvarez who clearly doesn't have aerial threat
Laporta and Deco have insisted on forcing an average player on the fans, this might not go down well
They expect him to come and suddenly be another Haaland
It doesn't work that way
People only rise to the level of their ability when the pressure is on
And we've seen how Alvarez disappears in big games
Ademola Lookman who is the newest signing is carrying Atleti more than Alvarez
That's to tell the people that are making excuses for him that it is possible for him to make a mark in that Atletico team
If lookman can do it
He can do it more considering he has been at the club longer than lookman
Some people are saying that he is underwhelming cos he's playing for Atletico, now that he is playing with Argentina and the Messi he is still underwhelming
So it's not the team
Lookman is shining with the same team
Banging in goals and assists immediately he arrived
We have forgotten Atletico is a better team than the one Osimhen plays in
They've invested millions to get the best players
They've almost invested as much as Barcelona and Madrid
So they should atleast be miles ahead of the other laliga teams but somehow people think they're an inferior team when it comes to judging Alvarez performances
This is not a video game
It is best we analyze this thing well and go for the right striker now that we still can
Alvarez might not even match up to Lewa who was obviously not in his prime during his day's at Barcelona
The unspoken thing we're all not saying is that we're hoping Yamal, Pedri and the other players will unlock some magic in him but see the Argentina team

N I think barca should back. We lost games cuz our striker missed too many chances not because he wasn't pressing good. So we should take scoring as priority for striker.
