In this video, I show my complete music production workflow using Band-in-a-Box, my DAW, and SUNO AI. I explain how I use SUNO as a virtual music producer, similar to working with music producers in the 70s and 80s. I'll show how I create the initial song in BIAB, import stems into my DAW, record my vocals, export the song to SUNO, create an AI cover version, and then import the SUNO stems back into my DAW to create the final production.

As an older independent musician, I believe AI is not replacing musiciansāit's becoming another creative collaborator.
I use ACE Studio rather than Suno (they screwed up my account and I canāt get in any more). BIAB is ok as a starting place, but I hate the UI, the 1980s feel of the program, and the limited possibilities outside country/Americana/blues. Yet Iāve had it since 2010 and keep updating it every few years, hoping itāll turn into something I can love!

Hey Henry.Exactly the same, sometimes, if I have a musical idea I might nut it out on guitar, upload that & work that way. What I havenāt done is go 100% on style & music, nor zero on weirdness. I most certainly will do that next time. As usual, great video, keep it up

I use Band In A Box Ultra Pak. These are real human musicians. I want nothing to do with anything AI. Worse thing to happen to music. I will never use Suno
@dougashdown2219I use BIAB, Reason as my DAW, then run it through SUNO to add the singer, as I don't sing and 62 I'm not gonna sound like a 20 yo singer.

@AtomicAardvarkin my mind the AI quality sucks a lots and is illegal. Hope they go in a total insolvency with Suno
@DavinciGirli started doing it this way when Suno first came out. Now i have changed again. I am still writing the song and playing my cheap guitar. Now I go straight into my DAW and into Suno and back into Reaper to remix.. You dont have to feed Suno with a great demo....A crap vocal take and crap guitar is all i need....lol. Its only temporary as i had to get back to oz for a while. But i am seriously questioning every step i take...is it necessary. Plus my copy of BIAB is 4 yrs old already, i need an update. I feel as if i have used everything in BIAB that i can...hit my ceiling. Tonalic seems like a step beyond BIAB but i hate that interface. Its so EZD..... Voice cloning can be hit and miss in Suno. Some songs work others i sound like a jerk. I reverted to the obvious, a female voice when Suno refuses to play ball. I am yet to try putting my voice to the song when its in the mixing stage....i aint that confident it will come as good as i would like. But its a game of inches, trying new stuff , new ideas all the time. The important thing for me is still the song idea. If i have no idea, nothing down stream will help.

@deltavistastudio124As a vocalist myself, I get your point about using your own voice in the finished song. I would suggest however that you experiment with cloning your voice in Suno to get results that you can enjoy as well. You can always add other vocal parts that are truly your own to help you get your genuine voice feel. Great work in getting this workflow published. I'm going to try this myself.

@rickeguitar9086I use SUNO, BIAB, and a DAW in much the same way. I'm guitar player. I often setup song ideas in BIAB, send it up to SUNO for production, separate the SUNO tracks with MOISES , load the tracks up in my DAW (Reaper), delete (or mute) the SUNO guitar tracks and add my own rythm and lead guitar parts. I'm a terrible singer (the only money I've ever made from music is when people payed me not to sing! LOL) so I had SUNO create a voice based on my own. The voice sorta sounds like me except it can sing! LOL.

@tonycarpenter-MakzimiaI have done this for months but found that Suno didn't get it completely right. I love the feel but it got endings and bridges not quite right and
i would spend some time getting it right and spend a lot of points,but I get it. I even like some of my songs through suno but it is extremely difficult. I am not sure about the rights management although for most of us it's not really a consideration honestly, I'm not making millions. Did you have any trouble with getting labelled? I'm struggling with whether I should go back to it. Totally agree with the voice thing. It could not get it right and made everything sound country or something.Thanks for the tunes man and the videos.
