The officer should have gotten the baby to some shade right nearby. The baby is most likely overheated, needs a change, and maybe dehydrated.

I don’t think it’s a big deal. The infant can’t wander off, no heat stroke in the tent. The only concern was kidnappers but the probability is low to none which is why they faced no jail time.

I won’t leave anything on my blanket when I go for a walk, lett alone a child. Shameful. Gee, maybe one parent could stay behind while the other goes for the walk. O

I’m a little irritated at how many times the time span changed while investigating. It was clearly over an hour at the point the police came and then they kept saying it’s been about 45 minutes, or close to 45 minutes. or almost an hour, maybe over an hour. Dude it’s been definitely over an hour at that point.

They made a huge mistake leaving an infant a loan for any amount of time. Shame on them but at least they were decent to the police about it and they didn't throw a fit and they do seem like they're for the best part decent parents. I hope they learned a lesson and I hope others that see this learn something from this as well

So in their minds their 5 month old INFANT is of no value, that is why you just left her down there, right? These people do not deserve children. I hope they spend a good chunk of time in jail. Being a parent is a privilege. Just because two people can make a baby doesn’t mean they deserve one. God I wish there was a way to prevent people like this from procreating. I realize that is a silly statement, but I can still wish for it. There are so many couples that can’t have children and would be amazing parents and these two useless pieces of crap have four.

I actually feel sorry for this couple, for how dumb they obviously are. They don't seem mean or abusive, just extremely negligent. There need to be consequences, but hopefully they take it to heart and do better going forward.
