I got a couple of hand-me downs too from family but like now I'm looking at bottles and there are so so many different types with so many different rival reviews.

Best nose sucker is the baby vac. I gaggg so bad with that nose sucker! Every person we bought it for is like this was such a game changer!!

we actually like the swaddles that are just rectangles. We don't use them as swaddles but as sun shade in the summer on the baby's legs that aren't covered by the stroller sunshade lol they are thin and breezy enough to still allow airflow but helps with sunblock

I vaguely recall specialists saying the pacifier clips really messes up the mouth and teeth development (more than pacifiers already do) because of the added weight.

My girl didn't use pacifiers, but i loved the pacifier clips for her teething rings and teething bananas etc. I recommend them for those. Banys are hard theyre all so different

That tummy time thing at 22:08 looks like it could cause a backache! Especially in the lumbar area!!!! If you feel your baby must be on his tummy, make sure it’s a flat surface, please! 😢

For newborns, that’s why you get a layette to clothe your baby, not buttoned, zippered, and clothes with lots of snaps. For the first 3 months, the baby gowns that have the drawstring at the bottom are great when you’re having a day at home and the gowns make it easy to change diapers.

Pushback on the car seat bases! I would say it’s completely worth it to at minimum have bases installed in all of the family cars. We actually have a car seat in each of our three cars and my mom who watches her while we work has one in her car. It’s not worth having to stress about if the whole family can ride in the vehicle

Parents remember that a lot of this stuff doesn’t work for Every baby like my first baby. Loved the bouncer and hated the swing but other baby did not like either of them. I was a lucky enough to have them already for my first one so I didn’t spend money on those things, but every baby is different and honestly when it comes to those things it’s better to just get the bigger stuff that you will need like if you’re looking to cut down your list just wait until after baby is born to get that for the baby jumper/standup PlayStation area you do not mean that right away. You can definitely wait for all of that stuff. I will say tummy time is so important and I do agree with all of those play mats you will need them and they are really good for children. But wait on the toys everything else is so important! 🫶🏼🥹 that’s no shade to her by the way I’m on baby three and still figuring it out!

@paulinas.4082For us, having two bases is necessary as we alternate picking up our son from daycare based on our schedules. Having two bases is life saving for us.
Also the butt spatula, I wouldn’t say is a necessity, just nice to have.
Also love our doona as we are on the go quite a bit and it’s super convenient for us.

@eyleengrowsplantsThe main thing I see most moms say is a must is the diaper changing table..I’ve never used it lol I always ended up changing my babies on a towel or the changing pad laid on my bed or the couch!
@333HeatherAnne89A tip from a speech therapist, early education, and special ed teacher: interactive toys (the ones that play loud music, have colourful lights, different sounds etc.) are actually not helpful with your baby’s speech development. Especially if overused. The baby should be able to look at your mouth while you speak , listen to your voice, see different emotions on your face and experience real life things. (When you read your little one a book don’t sit them on your lap. Instead, sit in front of the kid so he or she can see both your face and pictures in the book). Of course if your baby has such interactive toys and uses them occasionally it doesn’t make you a bad parent. Just be aware :) ❤

@nicolemartel8661For strollers, the price difference varies because of quality of materials. It’s hard to tell the differences in the store because the strollers are basically new and they are not tossed around and going through actual use but you definitely notice the differences when you actually use it in your everyday day life. Especially if you’re going from a Graco, Evenflo, or Chico to a Bugaboo, Uppababy, or Nuna. I always tell everyone if you’re going to invest/splurge on one item for your baby, splurge on the stroller because you end up using it so often for like 3-4 years and goes through the nitty gritty of parenthood.
