Box Brawl is a series of Magic: The Gathering Youtube videos that seeks to answer two questions: what would happen if we played through every single set of Magics history and who would be named its champion at the end of it? Well, Charlie "MoistCr1tikal" @penguinz0, Matt, Ryan, and Drew are doing exactly that, playing through some modified sealed/limited rules for the commander format, almost close to brawl. The game works like this:

Each player gets an amount of cards to build a 40 card deck out of, naming a commander along the way (which can be any creature, not restricted to legendary creatures)

Play a game and give points out based on placements, 3 for first, 2 for second, 1 for third, and 0 for last. Also the player that opens the most expensive card gets a point for free.

Eventually we will have played through all of the sets and at the end the player with the most points will be crowned the best magic player in the world, unquestionably. Along the way we'll laugh, we'll cry, and maybe we will have a few guests in the mean time. Stay tuned!!

When this set dropped I had not played since 8th edition and played mainly mono green or green/black. I bought 2 Avacyn booster packs pulled a foil Avacyn. I was hype as hell. I played briefly building white decks for the first time and love angels now. I left the game after a few months but I still say if I come back it will be playing fun theme decks like Angels, Elves, etc

Towards the end they stopped tracking commander damage. Drew actually won this when he hit Charlie with his Harvester of Souls . Either way another great game. Go Matt!

Ah, my worst prerelease ever. I got 6 creatures total, and two of them were Flowering Lumberknot. I spent all of my games pumping my opponents creatures to die faster, but one one single game when I buffed a Mad Prophet from 2 to 20 power to one shot my opponent. Still a fun night!
