In this video, we’ll examine all of the different types of chicken eggs available in the store. The different labels and classifications can be confusing.
Around 65% of all chickens used for laying chicken eggs are in cages. Caged chickens are required to get at least 67 square inches of space, which is a little over 8 x 8 inches. New California caged chickens get a few more inches but not even one square foot of space.
I thought I was allergic to eggs until i bought the ones that say "no antobiotics" (in the chicken feed) no more allergy but now I have to pay nearly $5 a dozen. 😅
Cage-free chickens are not in a cage but are generally confined to a barn with many other chickens. Each chicken gets one square foot of space.
Free-range chickens get 2 square feet of space. They have free range in a barn and typically have access to the outdoors, but it’s unclear if they have access to outdoor grass or if the area is cement.

Pasture-raised chickens get 10 feet by 10 feet of outdoor space.
When chickens don’t get enough space, their cortisol and adrenaline levels increase. This is unhealthy for the chickens and causes them to produce less healthy chicken eggs.

When looking for chicken eggs at the store, terms like “natural,” “vegetarian-fed,” and different grades of chicken eggs mean nothing!
Conventional eggs come from chickens that are fed chicken feed made of corn and soy. This means their food is GMO, sprayed with chemicals, and very high in omega-6 fatty acids. The eggs are then much higher in omega-6 fatty acids. Foods high in omega-6 fatty acids affect the mitochondria, the nervous system, and the heart. They also create inflammation in the body.
FYI Pasture raised eggs are more nutritious BUT over 90% of “Pasture raised” eggs do their own thing because are not strictly regulated. So all they have to do is allow the chickens to be in pasture for say 1 hour while 23 hours free ranged and they can call it pasture raised.
If you can't raise backyard chickens and you can't get to a farmer’s market, look for organic pasture-raised eggs. It will be more expensive, but it's worth the investment in your health.

@JBM-w2cI buy low PUFA eggs from a farm in Michigan. Not cheap, but they are far more healthy than most eggs from the grocery.

The population in the U S is massisive. Can not feed everyone on just healthy foods. Healthy food spoils faster.

@alam_nazirUNLESS CHICKENS are truly free range, wild insects & wild plants of their delight; you will never have proper eggs. Horse hay is acceptable as is grain mixtures, fresh water, dandelion plants etc. Get a few chickens. Put your chicks on the ground. They'll show you what keeps them healthier than you could ever imagine. 😂😊

@BekaluYedane-zc6zkMy 5 hens free range. I'm on 10 acres but they only stray 150 feet or so from the coop we keep them in at night. They bring themselves in at dusk. Very cool. We give them all our food scraps and you will not find a bug within 100 feet of our house. Only down side is they poop on the porch haha. Each one lays one egg each day

Even with a dozen chickens you get more eggs and you know what to do with. They were just complete total free range all over anywhere. And in the summertime their eggs would turn first really super orange like a beautiful Orange setting Sun
And then they would actually even start to get a hint of green
From eating grasshoppers and God knows what else.

They did have a coupe they would go into at night just cuz we put them in there for safety but a fox found its way into the coop and in one night took 11 chickens.
Every morning I eat four large eggs from Handsome: Small Farms, Big Hearts, Brighter Future. They are organic, pasture raised, and cost $6.82 per dozen at Walmart.
@soundmoneyguyThe 10 dollar 18 pack i buy in E Texas is the only brand that doesnt taste like fish. Every other brand must feed chicken fish, cause it tastes nasty. gag worthy
