Apple TV is INCREDIBLE when you know how to use it! (Tutorial & TVOS 17)

So useful as always I just bought an Apple TV 4K and came right to this channel, I knew you had probably reviewed it….❤Happy New Year!

I wish they offered a free live TV APP on my 4K Apple TV. I live remote and cannot get High Speed internet so apps like Hulu, CUE and Direct TV Stream buffer constantly.

I have the newest Apple TV but I prefer the NVIDA Shield. I have an android app that allows me to watch almost any TV station in the world which I can't get for the apple tv so it just kind of sits there doing nothing.

I love Apple TV but I don’t use it as much because the power button on the Apple TV remote doesn’t turn the TV on as well it does sometimes but almost never

why wouldn't you want to close all the apps? i do with my phone....

We have two 4K Apple TVs. On the remotes, for one it allows the 10 sec skip forward and the other doesnt, and in the same app. Is this fixable?

Great advice and helpful video...I'm a bit late to this, but a quick question. I understand how to activate the Apple remote on my iPhone 13 Pro, and it goes full screen. However, on my iPad Air 3rd Gen, if I do the same, I get a remote, BUT it is only about the same size as the iPhone screen. Is there a way to make the remote on the iPad FULL SCREEN. I use my iPad in my Home Theater and making this full screen would be a real advantage.

I am 100% convinced that I want an Apple TV but It's now August and with lots of rumours that the updated Apple TV might get announced at the iPhone launch rumoured to be almost exactly a month away now (9th September is the rumour I hear most often) I think it would be crazy to buy now.

I'm a dinosaur who still watches a fair amount of live TV so one thing I'd miss vs my current Sky Stream (small puck about the same size as Apple TV where all content comes over the internet) is an electronic program guide but I saw another video (maybe even one of yours; I forget) demonstrating a third party app called TV Launcher that I bought a while ago to try out on my iPad and it's great so I think that will fill the gap as far as EPG goes. The Sky Stream puck is appallingly slow when going into other apps like iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc so I think the user experience will be massively better and I'll save money on my monthly subscription as well.

One question. I might also miss not having a few of the major Sky channels but I can get them back by taking out a basic Now TV subscription. Do you (or anyone else reading this) happen to know whether Apple TV works as well with the Now TV app as it does with Netflix etc in terms of being able to search into its on-demand catalogue, add results to Watch Later and have them appear in the Apple TV+ app like you showed in this video, and track progress about where you left off watching a series?

It is absolutely worth it. You can rent films for $3-4 on Apple TV or Prime video and have all your other streaming apps in one place. I have owned this for more than 6 years and have been enjoying it ever since.

Under settings video and audio do you have set Dolby Vision every time you watch a Dolby Vision movie or does it automatically sync to your tv when watching in app ie Disney+ series?

I know this is more than a year old, however as an Apple tv user it still more than holds its own today. Im a home HIFI advocate and have a 4k oled smart tv paired with a 7.2.1 ATMOS surround system. Any content played via Apple tv noticeably looks and sounds better than any other streaming device including smart tv apps. Only BD/ 4k discs look and sound better, but Apple TV comes close, particularly with higher resolution sources such as Disneyplus and Apple TV+. Apple music also sounds great as much is now in spacial / atmos. Note the higher quality audio and video need to be selected in settings and preferably using an ethernet connected Apple TV.

Hi, do you have a video of streaming download videos and tv shoes, I was using PLEX but having to many issues with it, I believe Apple TV can stream mp4 & avi formats from my iMac using family sharing to my Samsung TV? hope so. Looking forward to your next tutorial. Cheers Mark

The Apple TV device is unintuitive, obtuse (in navigation), inconsistent (inthe AppleTV apps), barely functional (Siri), awkwardly designed (the physical layout of the remote itself), non-customizable, and buggy. It represents a grab bag of things Apple wants you to have rather than the functions users need it to have. The fact that you had to make a video explaining its functions, mentioning that only 5% of its users access its features, is a testament to how poorly the production of this device was thought out. Plus, it makes no money for Apple, so they don't care.

You can also stream high res music from the Apple TV into a good stereo and get amazing sound quality compared to streaming via Bluetooth. The difference between Bluetooth and hi res streaming is night and day.

This would benefit on HOW to change the settings rather than just pointing out the settings can be changes.
