Apple Music vs Spotify in 2025… which one is REALLY better? 🎶🔥

Thanks!

— @vanessachavezyt

In this video, I reveal the truth nobody talks about — from pricing and features to ecosystem advantages and exclusive content. Whether you’ve been loyal to Spotify for years or are thinking about switching to Apple Music, this breakdown will help you decide which streaming service is actually worth your money in 2025.

📸 In This Video You’ll Learn:

For me if you make a comparison you need to see what you can personally live with and who you can trust. For me that's Anything other than Spotify at the this point, because of their shoddy business practices, not just towards the artists, but users as well.

1) Promising hi-fi sound in 2021 and backtracking it and barely mentioning it again until last year and then when it was first tested, was subpar to Tidal and Apple Music (I think they fixed that, but as a huge company that could spend and have data from Apple music and tidal that had more time before implementation that is just crap for end user)

2) If you don't know they literally took away Spotify Family plan(5-6 members) in about 5 different countries/ regions and replaced it with Premium (3 users), meaning families of 4 or more (who live in the same home) would need atleast 2 separate subscription plans which is just greedy as the premium plan was still upped from the family plan price.

These are just two examples of how Spotify screwed end-users while charging more for their product than the rest, but obviously I do miss it especially Spotify connect as I loved just moving my music from my phone to my tv or laptop, but Because I love in one of the above mentioned countries and have a large family, it became really expensive to have it.

For me the bigger travesty is the lack of lyrics for Major songs that charted high.

The biggest differences between Apple Music and Spotify in 2025

Why Apple Music’s integration gives it an edge (and where it fails)

Apple Music has a terrible useless eq. It has Zero bass! Spotify also has better controls with multiple devices.

— @Mabeylater293

Spotify’s strengths that still keep it on top for many users

My honest verdict: which one you should use in 2025

Apple music sounds better and has 100k download limit compared spotifys 10k and I'm a android user

🎯 Why Watch This Video?

Both Apple Music and Spotify claim to be the best music streaming service, but only one will fit your lifestyle. This honest, no-fluff comparison tells you what the ads don’t.

If Spotify only paid THE ARTISTS as much as Apple. I like Spotify UI, but choose to pay the artist more per play.

The truth no one wants to talk about??? What are you going on about man? The most popular thing to do is to crap over Apple vs the competition. Most every review on YouTube favors Spotify over Apple Music with only RECENTLY some starting to give Apple Music the edge. All you did here was join with the cacophony of voices praising Spotify over Apple Music. Spotify, btw, is complete garbage. The interface is horrendous. If the interface is bad, I don’t care if MAYBE it somehow knows what I want to listen. Apple Music does that just as well yet its interface is far more intuitive and, as you even pointed out, is far more appealing and enjoyable to use.

The solution I found that works best for me (Apple user) is: streaming on spotify, local/personal library on Apple Music. Yes, I have to keep two different apps, but I pay only Spotify and I have the personal library very well organized and nice looking

I have found out that if you do not have superior internet that is not doing at least 50 mbs then you are not going to get the full "lossless" system that apple offers, so I had to go back (grudgingly to spotiify.😔

what about sound quality comparing lossless to lossless? did u do a blind test?

it's for 350$ only

So in short this is not the “truth” it’s just your opinion.

@frostyyy6823

Y'all keep talking about this algorithm and to be absolutely honest I've never used this option and probably never will. I have my favorite music and I'm not eager to discover new pieces via streaming app. I think that goes for most people, I know nobody who's ever used this magic algorithm

@Szpadelek
@

Apple Music has a slight sound quality advantage

@iamkelz6047
@

I use apple music due to spotify being horrible at finding songs I like for me (Apple music too but still) and because Apple music pays the artists more from what I heard.

@Nikki_Raa

If you are someone who depends on algorithmic listening with playlists Spotify is for you but as a album type listener apple music is the way

@BigbroACE

Spotify isn't even better than YouTube music bro.. Apple music is better than both by a long shot.

@BriBryBriBry
@

Yeah way too much junk with Spotify.. that you like that I don't lol. I don't want anything recommended to me either.. I already know what's good.. 😏🤫 and if I seen something from an artist that wanted to sell merch on my music app I would be infuriated..

@BriBryBriBry
@

The one thing I am so sick of with apple music.. and people are going to laugh because it's not that big of a deal.. THE DAMN RED PINKISH COLOR they use for highlighting whatever tab you're on and things like that.. they've had that color for like what 15 years now!? It's just annoying. At least Spotify is green and just that makes it look better. If you could change the pinkish red crap Apple is doing then it's by far the best.. 👍

@BriBryBriBry
@

Apple music is only good if you know what you want to listen to and make your own playlists. Spotify and Infact YouTube music premium know what mood you are in and keep up with the same energy with their algorithm suggestions. I haven't received lossless on Spotify yet but apple stands out in dolby atmos and spatial audio mixes. Comparing all three... Spotify can be the goto app.

@ashutoshjoshi9901
@

Everyone is raving about how good Apple music UI is, but after switching from Spotify my biggest hurdle is getting to the artist page of my favorite artists... On desktop you have to right click on artist/go through menu/show in apple music, with apple car play there is no way to get to artist page and see all of their stuff!!! Even on mobile you have an extra step but it's a bit easier

@Willigrow
@

Only thing I need is Apple Music UI with Spotify algorithm.

@eriline

I love Apple but spotify is much better

Both have their own merits, but i prefer Apple as i'm an apple user. Plus, it's £1 cheaper 😂

Great video and review!
Been all my life with Apple and tried Spotify recently.
For me the best way to explain the difference: Apple is really tailored for a listener who love to listen to Albums more than playlist. And Spotify is all about playlists and recommendations.

@mtlcub
@

You mention that the Radio tab and Favorites playlist are annoying because you can't get rid of them. Spotify constantly throws podcasts and audiobooks in my face. More so than just a tab. Imagine having those radio shows you don't care about all over your home page. This is why I hate Spotify. I tried going back with lossless, but I couldn't stand the vomit of stuff on my home screen.

@Alttabbins
@

The most important point no one ever mentions. Local file sync on Spotify vs cloud sync on Apple Music. Apple Music clears in this section. You can upload personal tracks missing on streaming services and edit the metadata on your computer and have it appear anywhere you’re signed in on. Spotify glitches with local file sync and it’s only between two devices.

@1openborder
@

My biggest problem with Apple music is their recommendations and algorithm, it's fckin dead. It keeps playing random unrelated BS after a song/playlist ends. Separate tabs felt confusing at first but after getting used to it, i prefer it over Spotify and YT music but like you said, Spotify feels more alive. Great video!

I been Spotify user since the day it came out in 2011 in high school. I’m 32 about to be 33.
Spotify is the shit and tried Apple Music for a couple weeks and it’s not Spotify at all.
The features Spotify gives is so much convenient and easy to use. Especially the music they recommend, daily playlist is on point.

I’m still giving Apple Music a try but I keep going back to Spotify due to the daily playlist, my top 2024 songs, my repeat songs, my rewind repeat songs and other top songs the past years.

I know I must continue to use Apple Music to get that stuff but Apple Music hasn’t won me yet.

@antonioramirez4763
@

Spotify is better and now they offer lossless audio so it's not even close,Spotify wins easy

@jesusalaniz213
@

i agree with everything in this except the absence of user generated playlists you mentioned. there are user generated playlists, you just have to search for them and scroll past allllllll the apple music playlist recommendations. they certainly do not make it easy, but there are indeed user generated playlists!

@joedesiderio
@

Thanks for the comparison.

@shimmy2425

As someone whose used both for years it comes down to how you view your music which is why I think people take so long and are disappointed with Apple Music from Spotify.
With Spotify it’s about songs and playlists, AM is about albums and songs (being based originally on iTunes). On Apple Music, It doesn’t fix your algorithm by listening to songs as much, it’s more so about adding albums and songs to your library first. After you have done that your personalised radio station on Apple Music wipes the floor with Spotify DJ which ends up playing the same 3 songs daily and completely restarts the DJ to the beginning of all the songs you listened to if you switch from your laptop to phone or vice versa. They both have their strengths but I prefer how Apple prioritises music and little histories of each album and human created playlists of artists (especially their deep cuts) over random AI slop generated playlists like “afternoon dad rock” that Spotify cringes through daily atm. But I do prefer spotifys social features and touring.

I’m a Apple guy and I tried Spotify and I can’t stand it! In my opinion Apple Music is the best!

as someone who uses both spotify and apple music regularly, when it comes to really enjoying music and doing nothing else, the sound quality in Apple Music is just hands down phenomenal. It's free high res audio makes an enormous difference, and the radio feature is actually fantastic when you want to listen in the car and not fuss with the playlist. Spotify is great socially, and for sharing with friends, but the experience is just much higher quality and feels so premium with Apple Music. The integration with the tv and lyrics is also phenomenal for parties and singing with friends.

@littlehippo5004

apple is woke gay leader with gay workouts - it’s just shit - none cares about how you like sex sick topic! spotify is just cool technology using facts and not pushing wokeness

@holidaynova

Aååle music is the best, no doubt.

@Trulte60

yeah I think spotify digs music genre deeper than other streaming. also I like spotify's curated playlists. some of them have unique title and unique songs.

@quas3728

yeah, the dealbreaker is definitely the community made playlists. if i couldn't look up "all kanye song samples" and get a result that would be a shame.
