Better Education and Healthcare could have benefited all of these ladies.. As usual, generations of women live in abusive environments and make no choices to get better.. No one shows them how to get better.. Why do those states not help their citizens? Give them better education and healthcare opportunities..

Interesting interview, but Jesus Christ… It took them long enough to get rid of that freaking hacking woman, my God!!! I was about to turn it off, b/c I couldn’t listen to that woman choking to death any longer, then she finally left, but freaking came back!! Wake up & quit smoking already! It’s literally killing you! No cold alone, makes you hack up a lung like that. I stuck with the video though, b/c I wanted to hear their story. Good interview, very sad. Shows this family’s strength & perseverance.

I live in Pennsylvania it’s poor and there is violence and desperation

I really hope that Kenzie stays in school and graduates and moves on to a secondary education. So she can get out of there and break the cycle of abuse that these poor women have endured. Because she’s learning all this and she’s learning that this is how women should be treated.

It seems the men in this neck of the woods treat their women very badly. And it’s accepted by everyone.

I’m confused. She said she lost her grandmother, her father and her sister in the accident but then after that she says that her dad beat her worse after the accident because she needed so much help. Is she maybe talking about a stepfather? It sounds like she went through a really horrible ordeal with the accident and its lasting impacts. And then everything else they all went through.

Hey, I’m from Russell Springs, where her adopted son lives. I probably don’t know him though, I’m quiet a bit older than he is. I made it outta there and into the big old city. I was doing meth in high school, getting too caught up with drugs. I don’t necessarily believe in God, but some higher power truly saved me from being stuck down there. I stayed sober for a long time and just recently started to dabble again (not with meth, never again with that shit, just a little tree, or a Percocet here and there) but moreso in a recreational way and with hard limits rather than in my youth where it was daily habitual use. You’d get a lot of interesting interviews if you went to Russell County, that’s for sure. 😅

Good Interview but you Mark should have stopped interview till this poor lady could catch her breath..while she couldn't breath you kept asking her questions. I know smoking is bad and everyone is gonna focus on that but it is their story and you are in their home..

Just a note here, those that live in harsh enviroments usually adapt and figure out how to handle every situation..... If you lived High on the Hog all your life and are forced to live in one of these less unfortunate enviroments then the shit might get heavy
