I almost got confused also like a lot of other people in the comments because I know years ago she had a double mastectomy because she tested positive for the gene that I could have her develop cancer if that were to happen so she got a pre-emptive double mastectomy.

I'm not an Angelina Jolie fan at all, but this was an outstanding piece of work!!

It’s so ironic that Angelina is basically pulling emotions from her mother who died of breast cancer. Angelina is so wealthy that she was able to remove her breasts put new ones in because she had the same Jean as her mother and she proactively remove both of her breasts most Americans can’t afford this treatment because it’s too costly so she’s pulling from the pain of losing her mother because Angelina Jolie does not have breast cancer.

I think she had a total mastectomy years ago because she has the BRCA gene like her mother. Her mother died of breast cancer.

I've had to say those words to my family. It was hard , but caught early , all good now.

Thought she had both breasts removed a few years ago and of course surgically redone.

Telling my adult children was the hardest part of being diagnosed with breast cancer. It is a horrible desease, I am st 4 mastisized.. it is a lonely, painful journey.

Mama was a 6x cancer survivor, & a ♋️. She was an absolute Angel.

She turned all her children against there father. They all dropped his last name.

She is such an incredible actress and any role she takes she gives it her all. I am so glad she is healthy after all the things she's been through. I think she seems like a wonderful mom to her kids and does a lot for charity.

Can’t stand her. Keeping her children away from their father.

She had a preventative double mastectomy and I think a hysterectomy w/oophorectomy(removal of 1 or both ovaries and fallopian tubes) as well bc her mother and aunt died from it. She is BRACA 1&2 positive I believe, that puts her at high risk, not just for breast cancer, but for more aggressive forms of it.
Ask your doc about MRI breast scans if you have firm breast tissue, I have to get those annually bc I’m higher risk due to having other forms of hormonal/reproductive cancers when I was in my 20’s. Self exams weekly, Mammogram w/ an ultrasound after if you get fibroids, and MRI are the gold standard for early detection.

It is hard, but there is a silver lining. Look up. Xo
