眼睛的基本結構
眼球的結構可分為三層:鞏膜 (Sclera)、脈絡膜 (Choroid) 和視網膜 (Retina)。
鞏膜是眼球的外層,位於眼球的後端。它由堅硬的組織構成,保護著眼球的內部結構。
脈絡膜位於鞏膜的內側,內含著許多血管,提供眼球所需的養分。脈絡膜包含睫狀體 (Ciliary body) 和虹膜 (Iris),共同構成了所謂的葡萄膜 (Uvea)。
視網膜則位於眼球的最內層,它含有光感受器——桿狀細胞 (Rods) 和錐狀細胞 (Cones),專門捕捉光線並將其轉化為神經信號,傳送至大腦。
視網膜中有一個叫做黃斑 (Fovea) 的區域,這裡密集分佈著錐狀細胞,是視覺最為敏銳的區域,專門負責中央視力。
眼球的液體結構
眼球內部充滿著液體,這些液體在不同區域有著不同的功能。眼球後部的玻璃體 (Vitreous humor) 填充了後腔 (Posterior cavity),並且對視覺保持穩定性至關重要。而位於眼球前部的前腔 (Anterior cavity) 充滿了房水 (Aqueous humor),其作用是為眼睛的前部結構提供養分,並維持眼球的內部壓力。 房水由睫狀體的毛細血管網絡產生,並通過施勒氏管 (Canal of Schlemm) 排出。如果房水的排放受阻,則可能導致青光眼 (Glaucoma),這是一種因眼內壓力過高而損害視神經的疾病,最終可能導致失明。
虹膜與瞳孔的功能
虹膜是眼睛中負責調節瞳孔大小的結構,瞳孔是黑色的部分,光線通過此處進入眼睛。虹膜的功能在於控制瞳孔的大小,進而調節進入眼睛的光線量。當光線過強時,虹膜會收縮瞳孔,減少進入的光線;反之,當光線不足時,虹膜會放大瞳孔,讓更多的光線進入。 虹膜內有兩組肌肉,分別是括約肌 (Sphincter muscles) 和擴約肌 (Dilator muscles),這些肌肉由副交感神經 (Parasympathetic nervous system) 和交感神經 (Sympathetic nervous system) 控制,負責調節瞳孔的收縮與擴張。例如,在面對威脅時,交感神經會刺激擴約肌,讓瞳孔擴大,以幫助我們更好地應對環境變化。
眼睛的聚焦與屈光過程
光線通過眼睛時,首先會被角膜 (Cornea) 和晶狀體 (Lens) 彎曲,並聚焦在視網膜上。這兩者是眼睛屈光的主要結構。角膜負責大部分的屈光,而晶狀體則負責細微的調整,確保物體的影像能夠準確地投射在視網膜的黃斑上。 隨著年齡增長,晶狀體的彈性會減弱,這使得調整焦距的能力下降,這種現象稱為老花眼 (Presbyopia)。在這種情況下,近距離物體會變得模糊,無法清晰聚焦。
視力調整與適應
當眼睛看向遠處物體時,晶狀體會保持放鬆狀態,並且沒有需要進行額外調整。然而,當焦點轉向近距離物體時,眼睛需要進行調節 (Accommodation),這時睫狀體肌肉 (Ciliary muscles) 會收縮,使晶狀體變得更圓,從而增強屈光力,使光線能夠更加準確地聚焦在視網膜上。
