I'm not criticizing, I remembered a theory of some time ago.
Well the point is that Weyland&Yutani is famous to try to catch these xeno as hard as they can. They always send a team, a suicide squad, whatever.
Then there's the fact that there's another theory that says that the CEOs of WY is made out of Synths. Cool right? But if that's true, then their use of humans to catch the xeno shows they don't give a flying mohammad about humanity.
And then the other day I watched Romulus once again because I was in the mood to hurt myself.
You can easily go watch by yourself, there's a scene in the elevator where a Xeno holds the MC and HE because drones and warriors are all males, only the Queen is a female; and HE have a scar on the face from which flashes electricity.
Now my theory is this: WY Executives are Synths, they want the Xeno because they think they take possess of their bodies like a new hardware and live free forever from any human claim (synths are private property in this universe).

This show did not fit the Alien universe at all. Goofy comic book cartoon premise, dreadfully delivered exposition.. Why do people think Hawley is a good writer?! The alien looked so awful too.

I liked Alien Earth and thought it not that far off the mark. A world run by nutty trillionaires, everyone saw a spaced out Musk playing with his cutlery while at dinner with the president and his obsession with exploding rockets..so check. Safety features that protect the planet basically not funded, apart from the trillionaires lairs, like ocean data collection, medical research, climate investigation all defunded and security leaks galore through ineptitude by experts being replaced by ass lickers..so check. Robots with AI brains…check. AI speaking Alien, AI recently decoded some whale song..check. It had some faults but generally I liked it. I hope it’s not cancelled. It has promise.

But while about 80 percent of what you’re criticizing is true — to varying extents — the show overall is better than you say it is.
Nowhere near the first two films, but almost on par with Prometheus, and WAY better than the pointless Covenant and Romulus. This could’ve turned out A LOT worse. Really. 🙀
