Disagree w/ the Jackson take. No, he's not good enough to lead the line week in, week out. However, he's 100% good enough for squad depth & I'd easily take him over Delap & Emegha. Nico is a decent player to toss on the pitch when you need legs, there was chemistry with Cole & Enzo. The real question will be, does Jackson want to take a step back & play, or fight for a spot.

Jackson gets into the right positions, just then lashes at it and misses too often. Delap doesn’t even get near the goal or into those positions often. And when he does he makes a mess. JP doesn’t get too many chances, but when he does he buries them.

Delap should be criticised because he is not quick enough to play up front at the top level and cannot hold a ball up because he leans back all of the time.

Delap has a bright future in the WWE

Delap in his very first game for Chelsea against LA FC was very good. His cross to Fernandez was fantastic, i think he scored a goal against team from Morocco, he scored two goals against AC Milan in pre season friendly. There was a good sign for him doing well for Chelsea, there were big hopes for him, just maybe improved version of Gyokores, but after injury he completely lost confidence. I would give him a chance at least until January and of course keep Jackson unless Oshimen will sign for Chelsea. Only Chelsea supporters can understand this, not a just another football expert who supports another team and wish no well for Chelsea
