TIMELINE

Maybe a dumb question, maybe not?I don't know why does nobody talk about gemini.Anymore, when it comes to all this? i'm not a programming guy.I have a little bit of no, but basically what i've learned here on youtube. i am legally blind, so maybe i'm just not seeing something, but nobody seems to mention antigravity. it's just claide and codex

— @MrTehPuppy

00:00 why I'm doing this

06:04 $25k with Excel Formulas

How to efficiently extract money from people that are not good at vibe coding yet.
I mean, how to pay deterministic money to AI providers for a chance to extract money later.

— @ariaden

11:46 $20k with thumbnails

12:16 $42k with PDFs

I've been using claude on Hardware products too, that's: devices, cameras, sensors etc. Claude can build embedded web-servers, write firmware, tell you how to connect things electrically.. I gave it a 3d model for a plastic part, and it modified it for me. The potential extends beyond software.

This is great Wes thanks for the inspiration / motivation. I didn't know about the usage and the paid plans. I was always under the assumption you had to pay as you go with credits. And since im broke right now I didn't think it was possible. I'll check it out and either way this is the way!

I often see that many projects kickstart from reddit. But how do people promote there? I have some free oss stuff and launching commercial service. Tried to highlight free open source stuff but got kinda extremely low coverage. How do people do this?

i NEVER push finance books on people, they all make you feel broke and dumb at once. this ones different. Smart Broke Dumb Rich by Zor Veyl actually doesnt talk down to you. read it and it just clicks that most of us got handed survival advice, did everything right, then got blamed when it didnt turn into freedom. been stuck on that for days.

Distribution! How to solve distribution for Ai businesses!

I don't comment often, but I applaud this decision regarding AI business content. You have the kind of credibility I actually listen to—unlike the 'gurus' you mentioned. In their defense, I know some people like that in other industries who genuinely love teaching, and I suppose without that trait, we wouldn't have school teachers. That said, I don't trust the ones I don't know personally. Because I feel a connection to your work, I trust you. This is just my long-winded way of giving this a solid yes!

I tune in to your content regularly, for several reasons, but one matters in this context: you bring a different angle/vibe to this domain. I'm not a fan of sitting in an echo chamber, only ingesting the same parroted crap over and over and over... and nobody should. Having variety in the information you consume is extremely important. You could go down a rabbit hole with this concept, but the general idea here should make sense to everyone (as far as the rabbit hole, think evolution, art, etc).

So my opinion concerning you presenting us with your business stuff? I'm all for it. I'd love to hear your angle, and am impressed and appreciative that you would share your wisdom with others. It's refreshing to see other humans having a good nature like this... keep it up man! The world needs this sort of energy - now more than ever.

You are the first person i've donated to and the first person i've subscribed to (in 17+ years). I have been following the channel since the beginning, and I am thankful that you made this video and let go of your internal "resistance". This is important to me as a 31 year old trying to find ways of making money with AI. You are greatly appreciated, and I fervently request you continue this type of content in a playlist for those of us who aren't trolls. :)

Think about crossing a large dam. There are two ways to help someone get to the other side. The first way is to build a resort on the other side of the dam and ask people to move there. You build houses and shops on the resort. You tell people this is the future. Leave the other side of the dam and come to this side of the dam because everything is better. The second way is to find where people are already standing and offer them a boat that gets them across the specific part of the dam they need to cross. You do not ask them to move. You do not ask them to change. You meet them exactly where they are and you help them get to where they need to go.

Most entrepreneurs building AI businesses are building resorts. They create a brand new platform. They build a complex system. They design a beautiful interface. Then they ask users to leave their current habits behind and learn an entirely new way of working. They are saying leave your spreadsheet. Leave your old tools. Come to my resort where everything is better and most users say no. Not because the resort is not beautiful. Not because the technology is not impressive. But because where they are now is familiar. What they have works well enough. And nobody wants to move their entire life for a promise that might not be kept.

The winners are not building resorts. The winners are building bridges. They look at where people are already standing. They look at the old notebooks and the messy spreadsheets and the PDF documents that people use every single day without thinking. They find the specific gap in that existing workflow. And they build a tiny effortless solution that get them to where they need to go. The user does not even realize they are using something new. They just know that the part of their work that used to be difficult is now easy. That is not disruption. That is adaptation. And adaptation is what actually gets adopted.

I have built my entire business on this principle. I do not ask my clients to abandon how they work. I look at how they already work. I find the friction points. I find the places where they waste time or lose money or miss opportunities. Then I build software and AI integrations systems that fit into those existing workflows so naturally that the team does not have to change a single habit. They just get better results from the same habits they already have. That is the boat and that is why my clients stay. Because I did not ask them to move to a resort. I built a bridge from where they already were to where they needed to be.

Most people watching this video will hear the idea of offering boat and think it sounds small. They will think you need to build something massive to matter. But I believe the opposite is true. The massive platforms are the resorts that most people will never move to. The tiny boat solution are the things that actually change how the world works because they meet people where they stand. You do not need to capture lightning in a bottle. You just need to stay in the game long enough for the world to finish crossing over. And the world is always crossing over one dam at a time.

@YouThought333

Having done this myself I can tell you this is not easy at all. Even with the best AI available, it's not easy. You have to know exactly what you're doing and you basically have to wear wear 20 hats simultaneously. it's really not easy. It's basically hype to say that you can do this with AI. You can do it with AI if you could have already done it without AI. AI simply makes it a bit faster.

Cudos to Wes: He has been building businesses over the years just like myself. We are a rare breed in the smaller percentage of the work force that takes a chance to do it on our own.

Loose lips sinks ships: I remember the story of a Cleveland,Ohio businessman that made a billion in a pipe and valve distribution business. Even employees in his company had no idea what type of profits he was making. He was private company and kept information from segments of his own company so no one had any idea what he was making. He cleaned up in that business.

Software guys don’t have all the overhead of the capital intensive physical products realm: A major advantage for app makers.

I have a hard time believing that anybody can make this kind of money when you can just create your own data analysts with AI tools that are readily available, even for free.

Great subject, Wes!! I look forward to the future videos. What do you think about a harness like cursor, so that one isn’t tied to one frontier model company? Different subject, how do you evaluate different business concept opportunities? How do we make sure we’re not providing a solution to a problem that no one will pay for?

Got fired from a dishwashing job in March. Put the time and the unemployment checks into building a desktop creative suite plus a nine agent AI org that actually runs the business: triages three inboxes, does the books, ships releases, keeps an audit ledger, hourly loop, even while I sleep. Revenue so far: zero. LLC is a week old. The video I want from this series: year zero, no audience, no distribution, what actually moves the needle before the first dollar. Sent you an email with the full story if that's ever useful for the series.
