As someone (21) who as been moved out, have my own apartment, about to finish school, and have 2 dogs I don’t feel like I’m an adult yet when it comes to so many things.
I function as if I’m a teenager living an adult life with adult responsibilities, and the adult comes out when it matters but internally I still feel like a teenager, I still have bad habits a teenager would.

I am sorry to say that is not being an adult, neither becoming an adult. Thats kid habits, do not kids have sleeping schedule? Reading? Exercise at school? What you are telling is to become functional (again) after a dysfunctional teenage years.

I highly agree with the helpful tips this young lady was willing to share with us as a 22-year-old adult (soon turning 23). I am clearly of legal age and fully an adult, so everything I’m saying comes from the perspective of someone who is mature and of age.

As a 21 year old I agree 💯

Aside from mediation sort of asmr nature , or like new coffee vs new recipes. Drinks are a bit easier. Like a new smoothie .Kiwi and orangs are said to improve mood. Sometimes I open a window, take a cooler shower and wax melts have dramatically improved my mood as well. I felt more accomplished by trimming up the edges on say ,the way I fold or cleaning out the vents that had been previously tormenting me. Even looking at completely alternative ways of life or wishlisting a dream itenerary. Even organizing stationary so I could find pens and pencils did dramatically improve things for me . I couldn't clean or organize the entire place but one small step like a pencil holder really does go a long way.Or blocking off more time for tasks I already did . So I could refine it rather than kinda rushing through things . Even researching habits I already had to make sure I was doing them correctly.

@kadijhastrong8787pretty girl!
@MarthaMartinez-yp8qnAs someone that just found, finished, and enjoyed this video, can I ask fellow viewers or Jenn, what would be the difference between day dreaming and meditation? I'm not sure I followed that part around 1:30
@ArianeOnAirwhat's your favorite pen to write with?
@c2pascualI love the way that you make a own introspection about your habits, it's like you invert time thinking how do you feel and translate it in wisdom for others, thank you!!
@taphh8344I had to move out to live on my own when I was 19, I'm 29 now. I'll share 3 things I've learned so far.
1. Stand up for yourself. This may seem irrelevant to 'adulting' or even as a habit, but standing up for yourself takes practice, and it protects your mind and time.
It allows you to focus on what matters, and in time, prepares you to stand up for other people (children, spouse, friends, etc.).
2. Track your money. How many times have you said or heard "I need to stop spending so much on coffee" or " I need to stop eating out so much"?
How much went where, exactly? Eating out cost X dollars but shaved time off your schedule. Monthly "treat-yo-self" trips to the mall gave you 24 hours of happiness.
3. I had to repeat what Jenn pointed out- meditation. Pay less mind to your posture, and more to the passing/lingering thoughts.
Wisdom can be achieved this way. You start to observe yourself more closely. In time, it becomes habitual to observe people/events rather than acting immediately by default.
To Jenn, this is the first and ngl probably the only video of yours I'd watch, but I've been thinking about writing my story for a long time.
Until I heard the way you explained it, I think it's about time.
Thank you.
Another amazing vid I needed during this time in my life. I'll definitely have to prioritize journaling because I resonated with everythinnnnnngggg you said lol.
@pixeleverafterWow,,, the book list you gave was almost identical to mine ... what a good reader you are
@tomas-vg7dcI just have to say that I’ve never seen that lime green color look so right on anyone else, it’s perfect
@GarmanyRachelMaking your adulting life better is down to the basic stuff huhu
@abbyteodosio7509Thank you for making this video 👍
@OUTSIDER40Love this video. Thank you for sharing ❤
@yasekarbLove this video. My #1 adulting habit is to put my life into a worksheet, like bills to pay, how much to save etc. It really makes me feel confident about being an adult
@gabigoulartYour videos have actually made me feel more secure in growing older. I am 29, soon 30, and it feels overwhelming sometimes. I always trend to go to your videos when I need to feel safe with all these changed. Thank you so much, Jenn!
@Axel.WoodwardSometimes I give up on the dream of touching my toes, thank you for reinspiring me <3
@raquelmescalOmg doing almost everything on the list but just not consistently! That will change 🎉 thanks so much ❤
@hwayoungmin1878As an adult, I can say that the habit that has helped me the most is exercising, because it de-stresses me a lot. Id like to meditate, but I don't have the patience hahahah
@familialopes4955If I meditate like that, you will find me asleep😴😂
@YellowhitevibesI have to say I clicked on this video randomly had never seen your channel before and I really enjoyed it. While ive heard all of these habits before and practiced them myself on and off throughout the years, your videography and the way you explain them on such a human level with your own insight instead of just quoting facts and in a sense putting yourself in a glorified position (like ive seen others do) cause you practiced them, made this video such a safe and inspiring space. Thank you for that.
@anieqkaBad idea to start your video with meditation. Sorry but skip
@sinshin-v3nI literally do all of these haha
(still working on sleep habits)
Guess I'm an adult now
forever my comfort youtuber <3
