My son was a difficult baby to say the least 😅 would not eat, would not sleep. But as I held him and rocked him, begging for time to skip until he slept, I sang this song over and over hoping the words would sink... and that he'd sleep 😂

He just turned 6, and tonight remembered the song, asking me to sing it to him before bed. As I laid down with him, barely able to get through the lyrics, i cant help but think of how much my parents went through - fleeing all they've known, to settle in a country they did not know nor speak - yet through it all, raised me, loved me, taught me how to love my own children.

I could never thank them enough. Nor my partner for giving me my son. Yet I lie here with neither of them, wishing time would just slow down so I can hold onto the now...

Fathers, Mothers, hold your little ones. It goes by so fast you dont even know, and when you do it'll hurt so much more.

But the secret is: it's worth it. And you're doing fine. 🤙
