Please, TripAdvisor is a scam and a fraud. They're paid off by the bars in Plaza Mayor. There's no worse place to eat in Madrid. No Spaniard or Madrileño goes there to eat. They're a rip-off for tourists. The paella is a fake concoction that has nothing to do with real paella. They're doing terrible damage to the reputation of tapas in Spain. The worst of the worst. Only the calamari sandwich is decent.

I will go mostly on mercado vallehermoso because I will be in Madrid alone and it’s more single friendly 😂 so awkward eating alone in restaurants
